#51 Re: Main Forum » Where a donkey lie, he leaves his hair behind. Griefer sabotage. » 2019-08-11 21:21:33

I feel something has to be done about the following:
-Bear caves;
-Blocking;
-Unrecyclable parts;
-Picking up diesel minnig picks (should be permanent);
-Basket teleporting;
-Dismantable bows and arrows.

Some other things that are abused:
-Killing all the sheep (how barbaric);
-Chopping/killing animals/trees to extinction.
Although these ones I personally feel are up to us (the good players) to solve and maintain ourselves.

#52 Re: Main Forum » The real problem with the game right now is not what you might think » 2019-07-30 21:06:42

So neat! Please go forward with this idea, the map looks great like this! (Although penguins and seals on top of mountains does feel a little odd)

#54 Re: News » Update: Genetic Fitness » 2019-06-29 21:17:54

Sounds interesting, are there any plans for content updates in the near future? or are there still problems with the game's "core"?

NO SKELETONS IN TOWN?! Damn that's nice to hear

#56 Re: Main Forum » How long will we keep using stones and stick for everything? » 2019-05-18 14:15:22

I agree with everything here. Essentially we'd need this very controversial "From Riches to Rags 2.0" update to smooth out the progression through the ages feel for the game by adding decay and higher tech alternatives to a bunch more objects:

-Clay pottery to porcelain;
-Clay crok to steel cooking pot;
-Round stone to building hammer/mortar and pestle;
-Flat rock to anvil;
-Adobe oven to stove;
-Adobe kiln/forge to stone variants;
-Wooden tongs to metal tongs;
-Wooden buckets to metal buckets;
And so on

#58 Re: Main Forum » How hard would it be to give this game WASD controls as standard? » 2019-05-12 18:42:16

I'd like to see this implemented aswell. I also think the not necessarily "bad" controls is what repels some of the new players.

Bump it all the way to the top!

Here are some features I felt like were lacking from some of these latest updates:

-You should be able to say "The Smiths own this" near a property gate to allow acces to your entire family. This would be great for those wanting to use them as decoration and if trade and property ever becomes a thing.

-Photographs should be actual items in game similar to written notes, in wich they all look the same, but upon picking one up the picture should appear in the lower left corner whre the Full/Hungry/Starving notes usually appear. This would make them more intuitive and "real" in my opinion.

-It's weird to know that springs are placed on a grid throughout the map, evenly spaced exactly 40 tiles apart in a given direction. This kinda breaks the immersion. Jason has said something about a "wiggle" to the grid, wich I think would be welcome, keeping the game more natural and not geometric.

#61 Re: Main Forum » Couldn't Photos Be Viewable In-Game? » 2019-04-28 16:55:10

This is my only issue with the update, photographs should be actual items in game similar to written notes, in wich they all look the same, but upon picking one up the picture should appear in the lower left corner whre the Full/Hungry/Starving notes usually appear

#62 Re: Main Forum » Please make poop decay » 2019-04-06 20:24:09

We need a dung bucket!
Put dung in a bucket, and use it for easy compost with less shovel uses. This would be way more interesting and useful imo.

Is it coming this week?
It sounds quite game changing, especially in late game civs

Secondly, we totally should be able to build a newcomon engine over an iron vein and get more iron out of it.

well you can't really pump out iron from the earth because its not a liquid! silly you can only pump liquids. so using a newcomon engine could never work.

What if we use the newcomen engine to power a simple pulley platform elevator to go further down in the mine?

#67 Re: Main Forum » Is it good that rope is rare and hard to get? » 2019-03-09 15:30:13

Getting rope is a pain in the back side for me! As you said, if you try to plant it you'll have to sit around WAITING for it to grow (wich is pretty bad for a game where you have limited time) because you KNOW it's going to get stolen. The simplest solution I can think of is milkweed generally giving two stalks (since it literally has two stalks in the sprite) so we can produce rope two times faster and even stockpile it. And if that's too OP milkweed could always yield limited seeds...

Yeah, I figured it sounded quite weird but decided to leave it in there to see what happens.
Different visuals for pies is a great idea though, I can imagine the berry carrot rabbit pie being extra stuffed.

After this latest update I've been thinking about what other little pieces of content I'd like to see added to the game to make it a more cohesive experience, here's a short list:

-Hot adobe oven has little orange embers (similar to the firing adobe kiln/forge) as an easier way to tell it apart from it's normal look (all credit goes to MultiLife for suggesting it a long time ago);

-Adobe flooring and pine needle flooring ("decayable floors") along with wooden walls to complete the sets;

-Stackable mutton: 5 mutton stacked on top of each other on a plate;

-Bowl of goose eggs: several eggs placed in a bowl for easy storage;

-Milkweed gives two stalks (PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU lol) for less tedious farming;

-Half stone walls: right clicking on cut stones will give you "half cut stones" with wich you can construct neat half stone walls for all your sheep pen desires (I had enough of those ugly blocks!)

These are all of them for now, I'm looking forward to future content updates and improvements wink

It also allows griefers to easily destroy shovels and town gets nothing from it.

I agree that it's too easy for newbies and griefers to break shovels.

1. Store dung in buckets

This has been suggested on Reddit (?) and I liked it. Could also require you to wash dirty buckets before transitioning to empty bucket after last dung used. Even if it would still count as shovel use, it would allow cleaning dung out of the pen without extra shovel uses. Mainly though it would make composting a bit more efficient.

2. Require stakes for grave digging

Avoids for well-meaning newbies to break the shovel by accident and makes it slightly more difficult for griefers.

The dung bucket idea is brilliant! If you could fill a bucket with dung and then be able to pick it up and use it for convenient composting, then that would be a nice QoL upgrade.
Shovel usage when scooping up dung and digging potatoes should really be redone. It doesn't make much sense for it to take two uses out of the shovel for such a simple action, it should either take only one use or none at all.
