Thank God there is another one pleyer who thinks we need this. Did people killed your boars ? They killed mine twice.
This design is 100% safe , no noob will be killed and needs no maintenance (replace property fence with proper fence let only the property gates to prevent noobs to enter. )
No, a kid can't be used to join a posse lol.
Oh, this is an issue Someone open this plz
well it depends! Can you join a Posse by holding a kid? XD
By the way, do you know how far a bow can currently kill? Is it the hole view range with zoom? Or is there a limit?
Not sure but I think it has 7 tiles Kill range and 12 tiles pose initiation.
The thing I know for sure is that when I run diagonally 1 person cant kill me with a bow. (I use WASD movement and I run immediately when posse starts)
there was a time the leader was killing people and I though He was evil.
Without even checking or giving a second thought to investigate further what happened I run to two people.
I said "I follow myself" , then "Follow me if you want live" , "Say I follow you"
both followed me immediately. the leader didn't proceed killing more people but yeah if he did we had a nice start.
I would do that any time, better safe than sorry.
Arcurus just form a second hierarchy first before you understand whats is happening.
Running to a murderer unarmed and say to his face hey I saw you what you did, is not a good survival strategy, better call the police while hiding.
yeap Forgiveness is very nice just used it twice today.
I Just forgave a person who I saw he was helping the town. Was that you?
Omerta XD
Who was the guy who killed my boar, I forgot to ask your name!
Oh so testo how do you transform a dry spring back to a natural spring?
Do we have to make a new well as close as possible to our Primary well for the Tapout to overlap? is that so? this can provide tons of extra water close by to home.
I guess it is working like -1 * -1=+1
I always wanted to know how some cities get a second well.
only the diagonal springs have gradients ( X ) and the horizontal and vertical ( + )
if a dry spring cant form a straight line with the well then has no gradients
I'd like some clarification on this...does this mean that mutton and wool effectively had their cost doubled? (feed adult, then feed baby)
yes Food value stats
So after Jason's nerfs to Sheep and Pig, I made a design to turn this nerf to a baff!
this is the most I could do in an early camp.
Later on, replace the Pile of Yew Branches with a pen Fence Gate.
Also, it would be better to use fence kits instead of property fences later on.
the property doors are nice to have for anti-griefing control.
PS: We had a bear hauler the time I was building this so I used one spot to trap the bear as we had only 1 arrow at the time. this pen already saved lives none was hurt , except the bread hauler who wanted to drag the bear from me. XD
This can be used to farm wolf hats btw!
Safety rules! Never cross the property door!
flat stone/rope/shaft could make a shovel for the well
Nah I don't care for gene score, game is fun when all families are on eve camps, the game feels like a speed run
It is fun the first 3-4 lives though cause then you run out of tool slot to speed
I feel like the quality of life in ohol goes up with every new update now.
Might someday see Mutton, pork, and Rabbits stack as well?
Btw after nerfing all the pen meat, there is room for Beef now to takes his place in-game.
Is it beef's time next week or do we have to post a cows clutter pens issue again
The best way to grief now is by opening issues in GitHub and propose something that could be turn in to a nerf.
Pein and twisted incentivized Jason to nerfed mutton this week ( I might actually incetivesed him to nerf carnitas too :facepalm)
I have an idea to turn this into baff I would join now to test this out.
Food efficiency now
In any case be careful what you write in GitHub guys this thing is Dangerous!
Not everyone is a minimalist like you Miskas
are you sure minimalist is the word you wanted to describe me?
Minmaxer or Nihilist did you want to say? Either way I dont get what you wanted to say
>hoard items for the sole purpose of farming useless score.
Better off actually just helping the town and naturally getting score or leaving as female to farm gma/mom/yourself and not getting any negatives per life. Males just /die to prevent massive loss.
I saw that comming , Teaching a noob how to survive is more important than any family or town survival. this game needs a playerbase more than towns. Also every noob you teach to yum is less water wasted in berry fields.
First I am assumming you are a Yum Veteran and you have instaled hetow as the name collours and zoom help a lot.
Make a property large enouph to contain 20 tiles
if possible, use a horse and hord in 2 set of bps and clothes. Then get in, milk, pouch, bottle, pop corn , green beans, grapes, wine and any low value food.
whenever a baby is born , use horse and get it fully clothed.
talk to it, ask them if they know to yum milk, show them your property and teach them how to yum.
after kid is fed replenish set of clothes and eaten food.
If you have extra time make sure they know to store food in bp and eat from it.
Tell the kid to try to yum and come in property if needs help.
After you let the kid by its own, take horse, put yum pies in it , /fam and spot the most clueless +fam+, go there and ask him how much yum he has. (this will give you intel how good the kid is to yum food. if number is low for his age ask it if he has tried stew. why stew? stew is stationary and reliable food source. guide it there and show him stew area. then give it pies and tell it to eat them in emergency.
If your vilage doesn't have up to 20 yum foods then make some. (there are 54 yum foods in game)
Important clarification , do we see the pips eaten from each food or the units of food eaten ?
The comparison must be done in pips eaten (second collumn) to see the where are our food source is coming from.
Mutton Pie 173 1762
Gooseberry 349 1126
Sure, they're dead, but there's nothing stopping them from respawning and coming back to that exact same town. You kill them, get 15 minutes of peace, and then they're back at it again, no consequences. This would be a griefer dream come true.
hmm , true...and fence walls are really bad in this game.
well if he is gonna play for a week we have to suggest to him some tasks to do. some tasks we think are problematic or that will give him to feel how is the game.
like gathering 2 or more horses as a non-black race.
Traveling and exploring with vanilla
Taking care of his Gene score.
Start an Oil rig as Ginger
Getting oil as a non-Ginger.
Become an Eve and start a new camp.
What other activities would be good to grasp the reality of the game?
for me the main issues are gene score management while having a lot of babies or doing essential staf for family survival that requires you to travel or work without leaving you time for your genes. You are essentially punished if your actions are not short term.
AND the limited view of vanilla that limits your traveling, scavenging, trading, working, map awareness. and affects so many things.
the other issue is the lack of belonging to a family but this come after a long time when you realize that every life of yours and very action is short term and all the families and tows are expendable.
testo wrote:Ousider curse nerf: No more curses outside your family
We had this once, back in the age of warswords. Jason didn't want you automatically cursing the other side of a war. Problem is griefers would just go grief a different family. Make any class of player uncursable, and griefers will arrange to be in that class.
It did lead to fenced towns and mistrust though. If you can't punish a griefer from another family, you have to be darn sure you don't let them in in the first place.
If they do this now they are dead, they have no hierarchy protection and the other family has.
The reason I don't just do that is that having 2 bb right in a row is a funny part of the game. I'm hesitant to lose that. It's classic for mother to say, "Oh crap!" when another BB is born too soon.
It's fun for the viewer, not the player.
For the player that faces this every other life would be annoying or boring as he will just wait by the fire for another 3 minutes in a row without doing any bonding and interacting neither with the first or the second child. These classic annoyances are too common that wear out the player base and we stop caring anymore, we just dump them by the RP breastfeeding Nurse and get on with it. Instead of us wanting children and love them we are seeing them as an annoyance.
me myself that care for Gene score don't pick them up immediately and ignore them praying that they will think I abandon them and /die or another mother takes them.
If that fails I come back picked them up, of course.
