what you mean these are the new sprites, Jason is taking Pein's suggestion of pickle people

Don't like pickles but, if we had a glass jar, we could hide them far far away from town

Don't worry Slinky we will get at least 25 character sprites for each race, as Jason promised us at least 100 character modals, and we have four races... but I think that he should add another race, so we will have 20 character sprites per race, being an even number so we would have an equal division between female and male 10fem/10mal per race.

The original plan was for six races.

That's cool! but I personally relived that Jason didn't use shad E yet, I don't want a Pepa pig race, I guess we will have to wait and see what Jason does, but He is probably just going to stick the skin tones that we have now, because of race restrictions… (unless Jason removes race restrictions as replaces it with race tecks that don't  Impact the main tree and just impacts the way a village looks and feels (different building materials, food, cosmetics, Ext))

But my favorite sprite has to the bun brown, she always reminded me of an over worked mom, with how her bun is falling apart, and an overworked mom really fits in OHOL

Sure, bear caves will spawn three bears! You're welcome :^)

He can call it the Goldilocks update

You can get a new food: porridge exclusively from bear caves

Personally I think having luxury/decorative pottery and more table combinations would be great but getting a cow update is fine as well

Thanks Fug I didn't know that was possible, but do Irish twins, count in a possy?

I just played a life and found two bugs (as you might have deciphered from the title) I am hoping that some one with a GitHub account can report them for me

First is a visual bug, If you hold a cart in you hands, and you change the direction you are facing (with out moving) the Cart will start to float of the ground (you can test this)

Second is a Family tree bug, I wasn't twining this life however My sister (Danie Balasa) & I (Sammy Balasa) were labeled as twins even though I was the older sister

Don't worry Jason it is not like you live in the fire state of California so I don't think anything will burn down

Cool, It looks like overtime people will just eat less and less berries and will you keep on recording for the rest of the week?

#88 Re: Main Forum » The Paradox of Genescore » 2020-05-29 00:36:12

what only you can lessen your Gene score? what I mean is that Only you can cause your gene score to fall, and any BBs, or grandchildren can only add to your Gene score, of course if they die young they won't provide any score but if the only factor of loosing score comes from yourself and everyone acts like extra credit, it will give players incentive to take care of a few children for the extra gene score while not feeling obligated to take care of every BB in fear of loosing score

I wonder if there just needs to be a hard limit per lifetime of how many BB you can have.  Maybe 8?  The SIDS bb wouldn't count toward that limit.

How about if a Parent has X amount of BBs in X amount of time, (unites will have to thought of may be 3 in 1 min) they will be counted as invalidate and if no other parents are available, the child will become an eve, because most of the BB rains are caused when a the server goes from low pop to high pop, or during the beginning where the amount of moms are small, and if we had a system like this we could smoothing the transition between Low pop times to high pop times, and make sure that there are more Eves available when ever the their are a lot of people trying to log in, who will divide the burden off BB spawns

#90 Re: Main Forum » The game is it really at its best state? » 2020-05-27 16:51:21

This would mean we would get new content, but people keep reporting "bugs" that are just suggestions

At the end of the days will you post all the diary days together?

#93 Re: News » Update: Zero Known Bugs » 2020-05-23 03:17:17

This is a great update but I do see a small bug right off the bat, now that baskets are made with skewers, their is no reason to make baskets out of string, and weak skewers don't break when making a basket but they do when using a regular skewer....

and does this mean we will be getting the cow update soon?

Can't hold two people due to code issues, but yes the fact a rubber horse cart can hold eight engines sort of defeats the realism of "there needs to be room for the engine in the car!"

Faster and longer isn't really worth the kerosene cost in my honest opinion. I'd rather be slower and hold more than to be faster and hold less.

I 100% don't buy the 'code issues' excuse. Mothers can hold babies up until adulthood. multi-person cars could be implemented on the code side as the car holds the driver who holds the passenger. It would work intuitively too... Where if the driver "jumped out of the car's carms" then the passenger would be forced out too. It would be funny if the driver popped out holding the passenger until the passenger jumped out of the driver's arms.

Also, no code issue is impossible.

I'd also rather the ability to hold more over speed. Maybe forced only to roads, or very fast on roads, very slow off of them.

I well the thing is when you are riding a horses, cart, or car you are actually just holding a object, that is placed to look like you're riding it and since only one person can hold an object at any given time, we only can have single passenger car as that is how the engine works, and while code can be shifted and changed the engine can not, as that is what everything is based off of, and if we changed the engine, everything would need to be overhauled changed, and Jason would need to learn how to work with the engine all over again.

#96 Re: Main Forum » Coming soon: more loose speech character limits » 2020-05-19 20:12:04

This is great, the more we can talk the longer messages on paper can be!
is it possible to make talking a skill, no that it takes a skill slot but I mean that the more you talk the more letters you can say, like a small bonus, for a talking a lot, it could just add a few words  to the word curve

Considering how much this game relies on experienced players who understand its arcane and convoluted systems,
I think OHOL without vets would be completely unplayable.   Nobody to gather iron.   Nobody to upgrade the wells.   Nobody to harvest oil.   Nobody to organize or lead the town.  Towns would collapse over and over, unable to sustain themselves because they have no water/soil/iron to maintain the massive berry farms.

The only thing that would save the noobs is that the early game is one part of OHOL that is relatively intuitive and fun.  So they would die repeatedly, but eventually new players would discover OneTech and start to work out how to survive longer.

You have a point Destiny, new players wouldn't survive with vets, vets are so much better because they were here for all the updates, and whey have been learning the game as it grew unlike new players who every update have more and more to learn and understand all at once, so it becomes increasingly difficult to learn everything. It is also helped that new players have to get coddled, OHOL is not a game where you can throw a bb out into the wild and have them learn, OHOL is a hard game and because of that vets need to teach new players, but that results in a coddling, where new players learn limited knowledge from vets in game (hard to teach in game) instead of trying, and experimenting and learning on their own.

and that without vets new players will just be stuck at berry faze as it is the simplest crop to understand, and eventually a few of those new players will become the new vets and learn the secrets of corn

Economy in OHOL = water

we defiantly need more types of injuries, as so far any injury you get will kill you
