Fences and gates are easy/cheap to build by anyone.

They should be easy to build, but I think they should be build in semi-advanced villages.

Should property tools/fences be locked behind some mid-level tech?

In my opinion: yes.

This would shift the complexity from eve/new villages, in which new players can better understand what is going on.

The interface of this game is too minimalistic and not very well suited for displaying property info, commands ect.

I predict that otherwise the learning curve will be too steep for new players. (It already is pretty unforgiving.)

#77 Re: Main Forum » How is it like in the manyeve town? » 2019-03-17 13:21:00

I was in this town, while trying some of my mods.

While using a new mod I was able to find 4 hidden knifes around the camp.

I destroyed them all using the smithing hammer smile.

Are your eyes letting you down?

Didn't you know there was a difference between a hot and non-hot oven?

Did you forget where you put that tiny gooseberry-seed and now you have to go in the wild as Eve to find another berry while you only born female child starves to death while you were out? (And your first son manages to eat all the food in the camp what results in you having to run back again searching for food...)

Worry no more!

With this sprite change you will never lose your sight on tiny seeds and you will never miss an opportunity to bake your pies again!

Get the mod here, place them in your folder, and don't forget to delete the cache files!

P.S. If you don't like the flashing, don't copy the animations folder. I added it because the indicator was otherwise hard to see in savanna or ice biomes. (and I thought it looked pretty neat!)

So where others are adding t-rexes and furry people, I've been exploring the possibilities of making my life easier.

The first mod I want to share with you is a little QoL improvement when building.

Don't you just hate the way stakes fly around your screen when you are trying to cycle trough all the blueprints?

With this mod you can cycle without moving your mouse as much as your heart desires.

It adds a little, clickable indicator in the middle of the blueprint which allows easy and quick building.

Get the mod here, place them in your folder, and don't forget to delete the cache files!

Currently you still die from old age when in VoG-mode i believe...

I saw it with my very own eyes. There was a marked and buried grave, on wood floor.. it spoke and accused someone of robbing it. Another person placed a half eaten pie on the grave - the grave immediately disappeared and the pie became a full pie. Of this I swear I tell no lies, although I wasn't smart enough to get a screenshot.

Jason made a little mistake which made it possible for me to play around a bit in VoG-Mode on the main server.
Talking graves/bones/stackofplates confuse a lot of players wink

I think it was never intended for players on the main server (I could spawn all items/animals) but more as a tool for private servers.

Is that bug fixed yet?

#87 Re: Main Forum » Yum bonus tutorial - step by step guide to start with x10 yum chain » 2019-02-27 23:22:58

TL DR; (for everybody who can't be bothered to read more then 5 sentences in a single post)

1. Numbers say you shouldn't eat raw food for low yum! bonuses.
2. Time is the most precious resource, which is often wasted looking for food.

Did I miss anything?

Please keep in mind, we are not here to blame you.

We are trying to figure out what is wrong, and how we can help you.

We both want to resolve this.

#89 Re: Main Forum » 100 new topics in 20 minutes » 2019-02-20 23:46:03

All posts that contain your name.

Is this the old forum name you go by?
Or is this your real life name that is somewhere posted?

#90 Re: Main Forum » 100 new topics in 20 minutes » 2019-02-20 23:41:26

You mention posts about you that you want deleted.

Could you please specify which ones you want deleted, so the mods could take a look at them?

Is Jason pro or con-smoking in his game?

#92 Re: Main Forum » The more I play the new update... » 2019-02-17 15:33:08

At first, the temperature update caught me off-guard, dying a few times to hunger.
But the more I play, the more I get used to it.
I now see people making a proper nursery (with full-time nurse!).
Clothing are now a luxury again, before the update, I usually dumped clothing because I managed the temperature myself.
Now I put on every piece I can get my hands on (or start making if none are present).
I think it's only a matter of time people gonna figure out what a Yum!-bonus is.
The berry meta is over, glory to the new age!

Did you import them from the client folder and put them into the server folder?

#94 Re: Main Forum » Bad Lag in Big Civs? » 2019-01-23 20:11:11

Same here.
FPS drops and any action I issue, is executed after it's finished drawing every other players (movement-) actions.
Lowering settings (like target FPS) doesn't seem to fix the issue.
It does render quicker but then starts bouncing at target location (indicating I'm still walking server-side).

I don't know who this Nigel is, but there was a note that stated he started bonsais.
One of them made it to ancient and now proudly stands on a bear fur (with a dead bear next to it).

#98 Re: Bug Discussion » World kept resetting » 2018-11-14 13:34:23

Can confirm this bug.
Lived my whole life living of a single berry bush, because it kept resetting smile
Unable to play, because everything you make disappears.

#99 Re: Main Forum » [DISCUSS] Zoomed Out FOV mod - discontinuation? » 2018-10-09 19:46:09

First of all, thank you Joriom for all your great work on this mod.

Secondly, Jasons vision might be limited. wink
The 1.5 zoom-out mod is such a quality of life improvement, I dislike playing without it.
The animals don't seem to cheat anymore when appearing on top of your character.
It's just a bit easier to find that shovel that a wandering kid dropped 2 tiles further away.
And you can see other players do things around you while you work, instead of just seeing them run on the edges of your screen.

Anything bigger than 2x zoomed out feels like cheating again.

#100 Re: Main Forum » Remove Wooden Chests » 2018-10-03 22:12:58

Yes!
Move wooden chests (not box!), something like:
Chest + Adze = Movable Chest
Movable chest + Stakes (EW or Floor) = Chest

Chest must be empty to be movable (problem?)
