Usually there's a couple around but they have a hard time staying alive.
The crime rate is alot higher in cities since griefers target cities or people get bored and start killing. It does get boring once you reach the end of the tech tree since it's just the same thing until the city eventually dies.
But technically speaking, Even cities are family farms. You do sometimes get multiple families so diversity is possible.
To me it feels a bit like cheating, Seeing more then others is a definite advantage. Tried it once, Nice for seeing stuff but It felt like it made me move alot slower.
Was useful for navigation, was easier to locate stuff in towns and the wild. But I can see griefers using it to ambush people and plan out killing sprees.
Could also be used for good to see murders when they would otherwise be offscreen. Can forsee when a griefer is headed your way or nearby animals.
I know the feeling, I hate spoiled children. The other day I was a boy, Mum expressed her dissapointment immediately "Oh another boy" and "I want a baby girl".
I tried to be the best son and worked hard for about 20 years. I saw mum again and she simply says "Oh, Your big now". She gave all her gear and crown to a baby sister and never spoke to me. I worked hard yet I got nothing. I just worked until old age and gave up my self made wool gear to a nephew.
Tyrants are the worst, People rarely rise up against them.
Yeah, she’s killed about five more people before you were born, I would have done something but I had no weapons. The only people with weapons, like you said, just watched as every fertile female in the village was whisked away.
It's sideline griefing, They had so many chances to get her.
I was your older brother and her past lover, Killian. We were around the same age when she spoke for the first time, and I realized she was cursed. Everyone else did too, she threw* around racist comments, everyone pretty much ignored her. An old man gave her a bunch of knives despite this, enabling her to do the deed.
A bear* came and I thought it was a kitty because I was still a child. When kitty bit me, she told me she loved me and wanted to be mine before I died. I was reborn as her son, and when I told her who I was she seemed repulsed by this and completely ignored me because she “ain’t fuckin’ her son.”
When she got stabbed the town started to die out, I spent the rest of my short life cleaning up bodies before getting bored since I’d been in that town so many times. I suicided pretty soon after that due to boredom.

Yeah, I figured the town would die off. I did my best to try and revitalize it but it wasn't enough. I did repair most things and pumped out some daughters but no good granddaughters, Just Hero II who was only interested in getting off shrooms and died at age 5.
I feel it could've been stopped if people didn't let her live. Should have thrust a knife into her chest the second she started talking. Sounds like the old guy gave her knives for the lols.
I was a bit frustrated that it took so long for anyone to do something. Old lady had a knife and did not stab her while she was on slowdown after killing a female baby. Was a bow just laying there and people did nothing as she decimated most of the population. I would've killed her right away but I was too young.
Could be useful if you have important items but still want food to be at the top. I suppose the apron fills that role already.

My Mother was cursed which was well deserved by the looks of it. She left me to die but I got fed by an old lady.
Despite her being cursed people had allowed her to live and paid the price. She systemically killed fertile women while ignoring boys and old people. She was raising a baby with the new model and calling them "King Nibba" while killing everyone else.
I'm pretty sure I only survived because mother didn't know about me or she hadn't got the chance to off me yet. I was too young to do anything despite a bow and arrow being right their.
Finally someone stabs her and she dies from her wounds. I spent my time trying to repair the town, Stuff was neglected while my mother had been alive. Alot of babies suicided when they saw all the bones and dying farms.
But luckily a couple kids stayed and I told them about my mother. Managed to save the farms and restart compost. I fear we will die out anyway to suiciding granddaughters.
At the very least the town lived for another generation. Hoping that a granddaughter survives. At least the town gets to be active for a bit longer.
I'm curious to what higher tech stuff is coming to the game. I know obviously cars and atomic powered robots.
What's the next step up from Steel tools or farming?
Writing seems good for this, I see alot of wasted use of paper like a guy promoting his twitch channel or some stupid fanfic.
I guess the idea is that we teach each other in game but that's very draining. Could be easier with notes with recipes and rules.
But the way I learned was simply watching people do things. Early on I saw the older children berry farming when I was a baby, I just replicated that when I grew hair. Same with basically every other job, Watch a guy smith or make compost.
That's how I teach people in game too. Take your babies to your workplace and do things in front of them, If they pay attention they might learn some of mums job.
My worst lives are ones where I get needlessly murdered because of someone's bloodlust or when all my daughters suicide.
One time a griefer took over the town I was in. They called themselves dictator and killed alot of people. He even had a goon helping him.
Him and his goons terrorized the town, They had all weapons and killed for fun.
I tried to shoot them but missed, Ended up starving myself rather then dying to him.
I play as twins with my partner a couple times a week and it's mostly been great. Last night we played and when we were born, everyone was like, "Wow! Twins!" And they all wanted to ask us questions. It was cute.
We lived until 60 each and my partner even killed a bear that someone brought to town while I cared for her son who was born in the midst of the chaos. Being born to a mom who is a twin can be a boon to that kid. You have two players who could potentially care for you!
You ever witness any discrimination against Twins. I feel like a lot of people are bitter towards twins they had bad experiences in the past.

Sounds a little overpowered, Could be immortal and live in the same town over and over.
Personally I don't think alot of people do it but the same few people do it repeatedly. I can tell because yesterday one guy died in the sheeppen every time. The penalty should just be a lineage ban to allow others to be born instead of them.
So then the penalty kind of helps them by ensuring they don't keep getting the same town again.
Anyways this threads gone off topic. I was asking people of they would suicide as a towns last hope not to have a debate.
Guess we should be expecting a brief player boom then.
This is a game and one hour is a long time. To try and force people to play in situation they dont want to for an hour. Will be miserable for both u and the force player. a game is about having fun, and this should be a priority. You guys discuss penalties about things you dont like such as baby suicide. But do u really want that baby that doesnt want too stay? He/she most likely wont contribute much, since they dont want to stay.
Neither is fun to see hours of work die because of a selfish baby who suicided.
So many towns die because of suicide babies.

Babies are easy to kill, They need to be looked after. So protect your babies if you don't want them stolen.

Least it might discourage suiciding as DC'ing requires you to reopen the entire game.

I ask because i've seen this situation a couple times and they almost always suicide. It mostly happens to Eves but it effects plenty of towns too.
Not sure if they are intentionally doing it to grief or if they genuinely unaware that they have killed a bloodline. Most of them DC instantly as if they swiped left on Tinder. Instant rejection.

Yes, it’s sad that people won’t acknowledge that someone is griefing unless they actually kill or do some other act of griefing. Threats, making a knife, hiding things, Black speech bubble... people don’t acknowledge it unless the person actually does something. Good on you for saving them, although it did cost your life.

People just want confirmation before they act. I saw someone act early on a kid she was suspicious about.
The rest of the town ended up killing her since she murdered first. I thought the lady was right since the kid had a blade and file in his pack, Kid also said "gg" as last words.
But the rest of the town wasn't so observent and only saw a murder.

Actually I had a good experience with my first twin babies. They didn't talk much but they helped with compost and farming. Neither of them caused any problems and they both lived long lives.
I've seen a lot of twins left to starve and even murdered because they "could be griefers". So can single babies.
Seen a lot of Eves getting spawns in old ruins and populating them. It's usually Tarr but most recently I was Crimson Mountain, Son of Eve Mountain who spawned in an empty city.
According to notes, The Wonderly Family had lived before us. Not sure what happened to them but now our family is living there.

Even if you destroy a Tarr a village, New ones will be made in its place. Eve Tarr will appear and rebuild all towns killed by hellspawn. We must arm ourselves and slay all griefer scum.
