a multiplayer game of parenting and civilization building

I liked running away and made sense too
some lives you focus on tech and building up the score is way harder than sitting afk
more forcing to the boring parenting is bad. lot of people don't even use slots so they don't complain. it was a hard hit for everyone who enjoyed tech and working and organizing.
love it, I was kinda the first to ask for it, since my modified sprites looked weird as fuck
I painted middle lines on the road just to realize that either works horizontally or vertically not both
some gameplay modifications would be nice, road building is taking a lot of time and isn't used as much
animal activists want to know your location
using saw to behead a goose trust me, it would take way more time, you remind me of Hannibal Lecter and his new friend who played violin on someone's neck
butchers use circular saws on frozen meat but kinda funny how you want using a saw on goose instead of speeding up it's animation
the water for the engine doesn't make sense since it was made in a time when water was abundant. just to put into perspective, digging up berry bushes also costing water made it way worse to remove than to keep but you had to do it anyway, just to make things cleaner and effective in the long run. the countless water nerfs made a lot of things useless indirectly.
also, bad having the end game resource and the early game resource is the same thing
engines supposed to be useful and advancing in tech supposed to be useful, lots of things are backwards in this game.
look at th good side, they didn't needed a toilet
I member I had a workmate who asked if children "toys" are legal because he only heard that word related to sex toys xD
not really a fan of anything that pre-determinates how you will play that life or anything that is a must-have buff but due to negligence you can't get it. that would just make you quit that life.
one interesting aspect of a game called "virtual villagers" was that kids could collect stuff others can't. it's a simulator where some people are on an island and have to survive. it's single-player and real-time so you can leave it on while sleeping and simulates the outcomes.
anyway, the kids can collect mushrooms to help with food. the second title features collectables. collecting shells, bugs, butterflies and pebbles. but this is more of an exploration thing so maybe it should be age 3-10.
as for games, I could imagine a ball that can be kicked semi-randomly and rebounds from the wall. we could make arenas for games.

I find the game play challenging, but as far as the graphics goes, I can see the pixels. Lag is a bitch.
once I had like 666 fps, trust me, isn't that good either, gets old real quick
I absolutely agree, Life is the greatest game of all. But when you want to play a video game, might I suggest OHOL. It's in no way a substitute for sunlight and social distancing, but when you want to play a game might i suggest eating popcorn in OHOL.
life has shity gameplay but the graphics are good.
not playing the game uses less water
the last edit was in rift, and some tweaks after it
he original reason was that we barely had around 4-6 viable spots inside 720x720 since you required a combination of a big green and a decent size swamp
I think the first well nerfs came after this
first, we had the biomes rearranged so swamps are closer to green and had a bigger minimum size
then we had issues with the lack of iron
then it was the lack of rabbits, so that's how we got the rings around the main biomes, almost any green can be built into a city, if it has a well, maybe you need to plant trees but most of them are useable
the map changes were quite good but they were optimized for the rift, so it's a bit weird sometimes now
once you check you know
and yeah the bonuses are quite crap, I would rather have storage and easy access, we still don't have any good static jobs to use fixed spots
anything below perfect temp just doesn't worth it, the bonus just puts the bad spots over tolerable and pushes fire effect out a bit, but it won't be any better than before, still requires the knowledge to check where you are standing
open your eyes in the top of your forehead
if you got walls and doors around you, you are indoors
we need some dragons not wisps
Caroline
it's so sad that you are flexing and die like a dumbfuck when you could wear proper clothing and waste less of others time and resources
my idea was to separate people weekly basis, you wouldn't be tied to one family but one side with more families
this would give more variety and more loyalty, if you hurt others it won't affect you if you help your team it helps you
we don't have enough players to make too many, would work best with like 4 teams of 4 fams, but we should be happy with 2 teams of 3 fams, that's already like 8x6 and new eves would be a problem
with the whites being useless they could be the least favoured, only active when others go well and the server pop is higher than 50
or drop races
the other problem I see is distance and organization
its not a war when you just ambush others, in the rift we had towns, they didn't let me in my own city
then the raiders were better equipped than others and had no reason to kill a male
also, they were annoying you constantly for a half-hour while you tried to feed others and live in peace
we would need some limitations on the fights
let's say you build a fort, that fort can be challenged and a timer starts, this has to be done physically, 10 min later a fight starts inside it, all defenders and attackers get there automatically, who are at least 11 years old (1 min old at the moment of the challenge)
this would solve the transport and organization
a fight should be semi-skill based like you could move your character, maybe even aim it or just based on the closest opponent
it could be short turn-based or semi turn-based/action like blood bowl
the shots would be random hit/miss/dodge slightly affected by gear. like you could have heavy hits melee/range or more hp or more dodge, reduce melee/ranged or better aim. these weapons and gear could only be used in fort fights and could even be consumed slowly.
it could be like 3 tiers and 3 values of decay
people who survive until the end it would keep the gear, the ones who get knocked out, would ot die but lose the gears
it could be other rewards like territory control based bonuses
the map should be also changed to have different resource centres and different industries with them
as a baby, you need to be effective, don't cause problems
if there is a fire then stay
if there isn't then follow them
if you hungry say it
don't talk and spam and beg for clothes
F is for food
O L D is for Old, powder milk won't feed them
Y and N is good enough, K or OK
there was a Q code for experienced but ever noob was using it anyway
HETUW shows names now so that can be good for tracking
hang around discord and you get to know some people, easier that way
as a mom, you should feed kids at least once, if they refuse to follow you in some situations, it's their fault
you shouldn't sacrifice yourself with no reason, so if you still looking for a home, that's your priority, don't stop to feed babies
when I started, I didn't do double-ups, you can't effectively feed yourself while having 2 or more kids outside a camp
you need to calculate how long the food lasts, if you die then is over, if they die, they can be born somewhere else, better to let them die if their survival is not assured
naming yourself and babies right away is really important, some players quit because no name or bad name so get it out of the way
for clothing, keep your backpack at all times, help them make new if they want to but you don't have to hand over everything
I see a lot of people trying to buy others love with clothes they didn't make, that's dumb
just collect clothing as you see them and give them duplicates
the main reason is warmth, not the style, so don't give fancy clothes, it helps with recognizing newbies too
I was testing that when I only gave clothing for the hard workers, the city was running well and the naked noobs were at least asking for help
give them clothing as needed, don't forget that others have babies too, so don't give all to one and let others be fully naked
generally best to give warm clothes to girls, storage for boys
some people like me, like storage way more than warmth or style, so I'm rocking with apron and pants all the time, if that is taken by veterans, they can carry 2 more items, that is a big advantage
only give them clothing if you see that there is no other clothes around, always check, I saw many people giving over clothes and they still could wear something but they don't
help ake clothing or tell them t make clothing
if babies are running around or saying racist or dirty stuff, let them die
I always tell them to find a new mother if they can't even do what I say for the first minutes
they won't survive or be of use anyway
just how jason always does it, no interface, no layers
I really loved ONI for that, you can find information about a lot of things and see them separately, yet the main screen remains simple
sometimes I like the simplicity, kind of funny how the dung is just put on the shovel and the bell bases on the bell, but oftentimes I wonder why no variety on the looks of the tings
age of empires has like 37 styles of the same buildings, a lot of parallel techs which are mostly balanced
not everyone is a genius, once I told a french streamer that he had food in his backpack, he died anyway, he was frustrated with the game and didn't start another life
while it can be hard to get used to things like yum, after a while the game is just too simple, it's like a fake image of the unlimited possibilities and options, the world is boring and useless, there is no goal, all attempts are futile
hard to learn the basics, but that includes kind of everything we got, low tech high tech middle tech, all the same, kinda sad
without the hetuw, is quite annoying to keep track of foods, I only see the pies that way, sometimes I ask people to share a bite of their speciality pies. I guess your best option is that mod, jason linked all pies to the same sprite.
I like blacks, horse is highest tech possible
reducing distance and upgrading your ability to travel further solves most issues
like getting a horse is better than getting clothes most of the time
since even early game you are likely to find the one person who died like 80-120 away from camp in a full set of clothing or at least a pack
early game is better as black but it doesn't matter. the player base got better, races are bad, it's an artificial slowdown, we need more complex stuff, not slowing already boring and limited tech and choices
i had twins a lot of times like this
the condition is to be born within 0.4 sec, not sure exactly
the few times i remember: had a twin bro, was quite interesting we both lived to 60 twice and we lived our next lives the same time as well
once i was brown and had a twin sis, we weren't identical but until 3 you look kinda the same as the 2 girls look the same, we had babies same time too, was fun, we chatted just a bit sometimes
i had an identical twin sis as white girl, we looked the same, born the same time 0.1 sec difference, we didn't even knew a first, was quite confusing
you can be a different gender, that also happened, generally, you got 33-50% chance to look identical if the same gender, if not, it's like 5-6 options
most probably food
a low hance hat is something animal-related, like killing cows for leather and steak
maybe he adds some feature to sheep since he nerfed it
a very low chance that is something resource-related or some sort of trade-related major change
if they dont die when stored you could just put an L shape rail starting in the pen and another to stack it to, a gate in between
top one looks safer short term, long term i guess gates and real fences are better, they not biome locked and they even follow so i guess you need fence gates to stop them or stone. the blocking elements help with the gathering of piglets, the safest is bushes or rails. Rails can also store something.
i mean i suggested the solution too just he ignored it
there is a slight issue with splitting sheep food since that's already existed for rabbits, but its not 2 portions, its 3.
the same thing as sheep food, and already has the transitions, bait in pouch and stone
i was not suggesting that lambs should be more expensive, i pointed out the nerf happening if he does that
basically you had 1 food for 1 wool or 4 meat
now you get 1 lamb for 1 food but it won't die, and the other things remain
my suggestion was a middle-sized sheep that only gives wool but no meat but grows bigger and gives wool again if fed
so that would of been a buff to wool but nerf to meat
also, I suggested that each sheep eats one portion of 3 bait bags, so technically it would of costed 1/3 for wool, 1/3 for lamb and 1/3 for growth
the growth would of been cheap wool but no meat
he is lazy to resize some sprites for it
this case he just had to adjust clothing resource needs, which was kinda nerfed already before. if wool is 33% cost, but less meat, then he just could adjust wool cost to 3x or 2x. We got a lot of meat if we feed sheep, people still can't use it all, when I play, generally, I will bring some wild wheat to process the meat. The 5th meat won't do much.
