Sounds great! Will Knifes&Bows work the same way?

Thats a good prospect, what about carpenter's glue which is made from animal remains?

A use for sheep bones? im all for it!

Or maybe even make it pig bones only, to make them more viable. Then we'd need another use for their meat though, or it would clutter the place

One way to force a choice in the tech tree is to use a mechanic like the springs. You need to build your factory on a spring, or on some other rare spaced out source block so it just isn't possible for every town to have every kind of mass production.

Since rivers have been suggested alot of times, it would fit to make it linked to them, maybe only a few tiles of rivers would be suitable (strong enough current for example?)
Just how it did work in the real world before the invention of big steam engines

So what?  Honest discussion doesn't always involve being nice.  And if you value niceness above all else, you probably disvalue honesty.

Do you honestly believe that it is impossible to be nice and get your point across at the same time?

I think you were my kid! I kept going on about "where's the oil" and you told me about the graves. They were very strange. That town was wonderful.

Sorry, wasnt me then, but i showed the graves to alot of people.
My mom was a baker, but the oil rig was set up during my lifetime

Are you gonna do this under every post jason makes now?
Is this Trüf crying to get his curses wiped- version 2?

#111 Re: Main Forum » Suggestion: Chest amour and classes » 2019-05-20 16:36:21

Wouldnt it be the other way around? Chainmail for knife-resistence and  plate against arrows

#112 Re: Main Forum » Suggestion: Chest amour and classes » 2019-05-20 16:24:18

I think Jason mentioned the armor idea at some point and that he doesnt really want to put it into the game, because it would be abused by griefers as well, negating its effect

#113 Re: Main Forum » In the future... when you are critical of the game... » 2019-05-20 11:41:30

All this thing was about to act civil and discuss things rather than insulting others. There shouldnt be a forum moderation policy needed for that

#114 Re: Main Forum » Idea: Generation Bosses » 2019-05-20 11:13:41

We already have catastrophic events spawning every couple of generations. theyre called griefers and invaders

#115 Re: Main Forum » In the future... when you are critical of the game... » 2019-05-18 17:06:36

Yes please.
What Dev would want to interact and  discuss ideas with a community that just hurls personal insults at them if they dont like an update?
Ive seen it before. Without interaction between dev and playerbase, the game will die.
So please people, behave.

#116 Re: Main Forum » Hotfix before the weekend » 2019-05-18 11:16:38

Its so rare that a developer is THAT involved with his community, i feel bad that you get so much crap for everything you do

#117 Re: Main Forum » The One Who Got Away » 2019-05-18 09:57:31

Sad to see Mia didnt make it

How long are you gonna try to keep this "Im the mastermind behind everything and im fooling everyone here" thingy up?

Its getting kinda boring, you seem to be the only one buying those lies

#121 Re: Main Forum » Very goofy idea: Time Travel (don't take this too seriously) » 2019-05-16 14:53:47

Wouldnt it be better for it to be like 10 hours instead of months? This way, there might still BE a village to travel to

#122 Re: Main Forum » Griefer "Toxic" » 2019-05-16 13:38:22

I believe there is a way to check that. To be honest, sounds like something Trüf would do

#123 Re: Main Forum » The need for more characters and races » 2019-05-16 09:04:09

I actually wouldnt mind some people that got some bad luck rolling the genetic lottery running around. Would the mother even raise them? Would they be exiled from town? Would they become outcast only to later come back and take their revenge?

Also, since were talking and comparing alot about rust on this forum, the random character generator in rust messes up too sometimes. My own character is a super ugly short black dude with a gigant nose. I really dont mind. It adds so much to the game

#124 Re: Main Forum » I apologise to everyone who I have griefed » 2019-05-15 06:30:51

If it really was you, Trüf, then thats the first positive thing you did for this community! Thank you

Because it gives the good guys in the game something to fight for.  It gives them a villain that they can all agree on.  And it motivates certain pro-social behavior and organization.

Its kinda hard for everyone to agree on one villain if the most efficient way of griefing is secretly hiding stuff away from the city without being caught.

Someone roleplaying as a villain, yes.

But people just hiding stuff and shooting people from behind trees? no
