I think watch towers instead of looking glasses make more sense. A griefer can steal a looking glass but not a watch tower.

While I can't speak for everyone, I have yet to have a fun life that ended in getting murdered. It's usually an obnoxious and annoying inconvenience that makes me want to stop playing.
Of course, griefers tend to murder me when I'm a kid. Every time I've been murdered thus far has been before I could pick up a weapon of my own. Every time some freak running amok with a knife has followed me thus far has also been while I'm a kid. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah, getting griefed isn't fun, but having a conflict that ends in murder can be fun. But being a child is no fun for sure.
Sometimes I pretend to be a noob, spam RC a cut turkey and wait for someone to walk on it. "SORRY!!!!" no curses.
Jesus Christ the dump of hate you guys have given me for this post! You have to realize that sharing this helps you find pit-bull griefers
Don't forget to dump our hate on them too, my dude. Or send me the ish.
OminousBladeBlank wrote:Sure, but think about the noobies who don't know any better. Do I deserve D Town? Sure. Griefers are not the only twins though. Noobs do it often too. They mess up or make a bad judgement, the whole group is fucked. That's not cool.
Sure, but unless you are wracking up massive amounts of curses due to one person you'll be fine short term. Most players would need eight people from the town to get the whole group sent to donkey town which is rare enough to happen in the first place. A few curses here or there don't hurt players until they've either played enough for all the curses to bite them on the ass or they're gaining more than one curse each and every hour.
That's a good point. It doesn't solve the problem of in-game coordinates assaults (of which I have been involved in four or five). Still, maybe that's ok. Maybe it's not the worst idea.
My questions:
Do you people use AWBZ's mod?
Why do you kill camps/towns/cities when the game kills them by itself already, and people can /die out of there if they hate the place (and thus end it in time)?
Do you have empathy towards online people you kill (do you view them as actual people)?
Out of 10 lives, how many would be a griefing life for you?
Do you care if your fun ruins other peoples' fun?
Is the rush what keeps the action worth it, or some justification you have, or both? (To me, personally, there is 0 worth. I rather hone my skills in art or play something else than ever put time to griefing.)What makes me a non-griefer is that I do not feel any rush over the action of griefing and hindering fellow players' gaming experience. I'd feel bad for people, for getting them frustrated/sad/angry or waste time on chasing me. Many put time and effort into creating things to make life easier for the next generation, who could maybe eventually get to try out radios, cars, planes, diesel pumps, bells or signs, but cities are aggro'ed out of existence by griefers who justify their deeds as good or useful?
Why can't the city die by /die and leavers rather than damaging it to death?
No, I am pure vanilla.
I only kill cities or towns when I warrant it purposeful, case by case, with RP interactions. Never villages.
I try to be fair with the killings because I know it sucks to be randomly murdered, and sucks less when you know you have been murdered for a reason. I do care about making the crimes fun for more people than just myself. Even a life where you are murdered can be a fun one.
I do something similar to griefing perhaps once every ten lives (murder indiscriminately, though typically I don't try to wipe a city or target only ferts). I malignantly roleplay another 4 or 5 times (play with the intention of being a devious danny). The remaining 4 or 5 lives I will guard, smith, hunt, pie/stew chef, etc...
Again, I try to lead people onto my scent rather than just aiming for the fastest possible path of destruction of my town.
I love how it feels to create a good story. That is worth more to me than the actual mechanics of griefing. I want to fear being caught, be in a position of vulnerability, and watch as the town either comes together to defeat me or perishes by their lack of motivation and awareness. For this reason, I do not strike just because I can, but I find a reason to target someone or some group, prepare for an assault (this leaves plenty of evidence) and then strike. I do not bank on being unnamed and targeting ferts.

ROFLMAO what challenge? You guys are doing it here because it's easy, if you wanted challenge you'd be playing Rust or something. That and you hate indie developers and want the game to die, which you are actually quite successful at. Game pop has halved in the last couple of months, and it's all thanks to you. If Jason had a lick of sense he'd be permabanning your accounts so he at least gets some income from you rebuying the game, because it ain't coming from new players due to the gaming having a terrible reputation as a giant grieffest.
There is a challenge if you choose to kill discriminantly. Make a story, be evil, and fulfil your goal - that goal shouldn't be considered griefing unless it is "end all fertile women in this city because I was born here and can"
If you develop an RP purpose to murder, you are RPing murder and intrigue. If you don't like that, play club penguin.
Wait, so people in their twenties have nothing better to do than play video games all day?
What am I going to do, more homework? No thanks, I'm going to employ my fun-tax on some salty scrubs.
Ye I moved to LoL because the community is less toxic.
LOL I'm crying you're almost right though.
OminousBladeBlank wrote:I think extending cursing to each member of twins trips and quads is dangerous. However, cursing specific groups might work fine when they are twinned tripped or quadded.
You have to actively join a group to play with one. You should take responsibility for your own group members misbehavior and such should receive a curse point whenever someone in the group does.
Sure, but think about the noobies who don't know any better. Do I deserve D Town? Sure. Griefers are not the only twins though. Noobs do it often too. They mess up or make a bad judgement, the whole group is fucked. That's not cool.
You killed my twin in that town who hadn’t killed anyone. So you saying that you just killed the killers is pure rubbish.
You're forgetting meds. She had stabbed someone who got healed. (I think, anyway)
Regardless, Gleb was just standing around spouting gibberish. Just like her idiot mother Rose.
I doubt it was because they thought you were toxic, you told them who you are, people that read the forum know that you grief as well.
You cant brag about how you grief in the forum and then expect people to not treat you like a griefer
I never said they came at me bc they thought I was Toxic, but they questioned me about being Toxic. I admitted I was OminousBB and she went from there. Not complaining, just defending my small, one hour life name.
I think extending cursing to each member of twins trips and quads is dangerous. However, cursing specific groups might work fine when they are twinned tripped or quadded.
-curse me for killing players who spam contribute nothing, spam gibberish, and spam eat pies as child.
-curse me for killing their mother who griefed
-curse me for killing children who cross spam /ill and /yoohoo
-remove progress from apocalypse
-refuse to let me lock rooms and boxes, dupe 3 keys, and distribute to trustworthy townsfolk
Eggs are the true OP food. She done good. Hope it's still standing tomorrow.
What is the point of an angry pitbull if not to be a grief tool? Like what other use did Jason have in mind for it? It seems like a weapon specifically for destruction. Does it help eves? Technically.
I think it's creative and rather thwartable. Some good Malignant RP.
Better than spawning as quadruplets, collecting all weapons, and massacring town starting with the ferts.
Love me some good RP. And hey, karma exists in the form of D Town. Balanced.

I should add I get help from a South Asian 21 year old girl.

Hey, I'm sorry about this. I feel you on the frustration of being killed for no reasons. Always look out for sketchy behavior and don't be afraid to make the first move. I know you may want to focus on other aspects of the game, but allocating or BEING the guard(s) position(s) is important when larger cities (typical targets for griefers and malignant roleplayers). I hope you have a good break, if you choose to take it.
Toxic, what discord should I add? I don't know what it is.
OminousBladeBlank wrote:Toxic wrote:Man you had to take slap for me sorry man.
All good, dog. I got her for us both ;D
Also if you ever wanna team up we got a crew ready you don’t have to do anything just watch if you like it cya.
I'll hit you up on discord sometime soon. Maybe we can trip or quad tonight with my... partner ;p
Man you had to take slap for me sorry man.
All good, dog. I got her for us both ;D
OminousBladeBlank wrote:Toxic wrote:Hey man omnious your partner in crime here wanna join up? We’ve been killing left and right.
Yes. I hate you, but we have a common cause.
Well if you hate me for doing the same thing you do it’s pretty dumb. Also why do you ‘hate’ someone that you haven’t met. Hate is a strong word dislike is better.
I'm playing dude. I don't hate you because of your griefs, I hate you because I want a rivalry. Don't get me wrong though, I'm down to be boys. I got booted from the discord once for smack talking you and it got me salty, but in reality we on the same side. I think I'm a little more moderate - but I'm a little unfamiliar with the specifics of your work.
Condensed: I'm fucking with you dude, let's grief.
Hey guys. Resident stalker here.
Danny, a forumer (I assume) and red head (at the time) saw me and thought I was looking sketchy. I don't know why. As I've recently been doing D Town time, I was hoping for a nice, friendly game and one more curse token off the menu.
She asked me if I was Toxic. I'm not Toxic. I said as a child, "No" "Ominous".
Danny declared me a griefer to the whole town. I feared someone may try to curse me. The fear never left.
I left her alone for a while, and every time I saw her she'd be alerting people that I was wild, meanwhile I'm actually helping (getting rabbits, filling pumps, a little farming). What did Danny do? Nothing but pump out babies who were constantly spouting gibberish and eating our food. At least when I grief, I reduce food costs. These griefers-by-noobism were just adding to food costs.
Anyway, I got a buddy of mine to take her out of the equation after many conversations with Danny. I tried to get her to back off of my precious name. I'm pretty sure I was a curse away from D Town, so I had to preserve myself.
My boy Bob II did me the solid of stabbing her and running off, receiving only a single curse.
Good thing we stayed too, because murder broke loose later on, and I was forced to clean up some of the murderers. Two random killings were met with my justice (and for the information of others who will say I used frontier justice, I was thanked several times for cleaning up the killers)
The people needed protection and I, an alleged griefer, helped them instead of adding to the chaos.
Anyway, this message is for Danny. Why you smack talking me girl, I would have been your pal too.
I got no curses that game. Feelsgood.
Ultimately I was killed by one of the gibberish spouting waste of food noobs. Feelsbad.
http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=3946491 is me and my line. Rose was a gibber noob and Danny was the snitch. Snitches DON'T get stitches, they get untreated stab wounds. GG though Danny.
Killing greifers is really disruptive since everyone stops working to ask what happened and you might get killed by someone who dosen't understand what happened. It's a last resort.
More effective... start aggressively role playing with greifers. But be tricky so they can't stab you. Follow and ask to help with the griefing then do it wrong.
This is the only way I get consistently caught. It's a good point, I say as a 'griefer' though I disagree with that label. I'm just a devious roleplayer. I'm a sucker for a good RP partner.
