Pein, thanks for the idea, but I already solved the issue.
LALALALALALLAALALLALALALALALALLOLO LOLOLO TROOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL TROLOLOLOLOLOLOL!
Nah, this has to with my client Aurora Aurora. Nice joke though.
*I already solved the issue*
I usually tell children where the food is, even if they say they are pros. Just in case. A lot of time it is just newer people underestimated how fast you run out of food. The best thing to do, is to give them all clothing, that way it takes longer to starve. If they wait until the starvation warning triggers, they also still have more time to find food if they are fully clothed.
Some might avoid planted carrots, as they don't want to pick the seeds. So having carrots in a basket or something near by is useful. Very new people might not know what is food at a glance, especially if the food is in a cart or something. So might be worth telling them, "Hey there is pies over here" or whatever. If they are looking for pies, they will notice them. Fruit isn't that common either, so it is worth saying there is a basket of fruit if you put it down for them.
Lastly, kids are at very high risk when they first are able to pick up objects. It is worth having them stay around their mother or a fire until they are older. I think you can breast feed children until their eight or something, so if you really want to be safe wait a few more years before letting them wander off.
I wonder if people need to put more interesting stuff around fires, so new children have stuff to play with while waiting to grow older. That way they don't run off randomly. Having kids in a kitchen area might be a good place to raise children. They can learn about skinning rabbits and making pies, even starting fires and stuff. They would also learn about where food is, and how to make more.
Tested it out, and you can only breastfeed children until age 5.
I do notice that, without using any tricks, it usually takes me a day before my client jumps back to normal. And yes, the updates do *somehow* glitch out my client to the extent of it crashing usually. I'll do that! Ok, Jason, I just extracted my files using the original ticket send I got from you. Letsssss see how this works. Hmmm, maybe it's because I'm using a shortcut? Yup, it's due to the shortcut (probbally) missing some essential files or maybe that shortcut is only for the older versions. Anywho, I think it has to do with the shortcut I use missing some files. Using the game directly though works!
Yep, feel bad for Ed if that was the same bear you encountered Feldspar as Frida.
This is what happened to Ed probbally in a nutshell.
Please let this be a normal errand?
With that bear? No way!
AWWWWWW
*CRUISIN' ON THAT MAIN STREET, YOU'RE RELAXED AND FEELING GOOD*
*dies from a bear*
This is also evidence that I actually never saw his death in game. Feel sad he didn't stay longer.
And we still had nothing more but ONE MILKWEED STUMP when I died!
List of Characters:
Jim - The weird hair parting dude who is also a baby face (FINALLY!)
Uncle Jonathan - dat poofy brown haired poofy beard dude with the forward facing eyes
Roba - Same thing but a woman WITH MASSIVE HAIR!!!!
Limathi - Is this woman wearing a rope or just a hairstyle, the hair really does look like a more concentrated rope.
Geo Seto, Generation 13, Died Of Old Age
So, I was also part of the Seto clan. What was weird was that we also had some life troubles. For example, when my mom birthed the two Hopes', one of the Hopes' was only giving birth to boys and not girls. She said we needed a girl. Right after a girl was born *somehow* ! Then, we found out that we needed hoes, so I had to sacrifice the steel adze blade to make one. Now, I forgot to put in the start! I was born as Geo Seto, to my mom Philippa Seto. I then realised I had a older brother, who would also survive to die of old age. But, then I saw a similar man named Ed Seto, my biggest brother! Already it isn't roses and rainbows because when I died, I found out in the family tree that Ed was gored by a bear on one of his errands (could have been the same bear Frida Seto encountered, probbally wasn't, but who am I to say?) at age 32. Now, the rest is kind of vauge, but I do remember making my camp's first axe. Later on in life, when my first side of my hair was balding but my hair still black, a man named David Seto came, the brown haired poofy beard guy, who discovered the abandoned camp of the older Seto's, said there was the camp at the northeast. He wanted to go, but before he got ready he became old, and go on further without likely starving, so he stayed at the camp for the rest of his old age (David Seto was my second cousin.) I took of his clothing, and buried him and my younger nephews who starved. Then time passed, we helped out (I explicitly remember making shears for out camp, I hope the other generations used them before we died out at Generation 20), and got old. My brother went first, dying of old age peacefully helping out someone on campus I think, and I was next to become old. When I did, I couldn't work anymore. And so I peacefully lived out the last 5 years I had making some wool clothing, and then I couldn't work anymore, passed on my last job as a clothesman to a young boy in campus, and died by accident on THE FARMLAND, which I ironically told my mother not to do, and she died on a empty tile. But what can you do when you're focusing on dying peacefully of old age and passing on your trade? How did it go out for the future relatives and my brothers Ed and Sruthi?

The first few times I played with the recent update I was fine. Until my client started to crash and I couldn't see anyone.
Please help me. Ever since the new characters came I have been unable to play entirely.
Yeah, I will admit, some of them are extremely odd looking for their age. Not bad, just somewhat odd.
But, hey, at least we can tell someone from someone else better! After all, they are cartoons.
Ummmm, what on earth IS THAT OLD WHITEHEAD WHO HAS DECREPIT EYES?!
Ummm, guys, I think I see an image in the end of the gif of Families And Funerals. Look closely, and you'll see what I mean.
Nevermind, it's just a blackening of the end of the gif.
Keep in mind that I'm just one person!
There are bugs to fix, new features to add (like the family tree, grave names, etc.), and general launch stuff. And then there is content to add.
In the grand scheme of things, this game "just launched" and is still "brand new". We're still 5 days away from the 3-month mark, and the game was in development for 3 years before launch. My original plan was to keep working on the game for at least 2 years after launch, so that means we have at least 21 more months to go.
I have put out some kind of weekly update, with either new features or new content, every week for the past 12 weeks, except for the one week that I was away at GDC. That is 11 updates since launch. We have 93 more updates to go.
I have not at all come close to my stated goal of 100 new objects per week. I believe the largest update so far was something like 85 new things in one week.
But, as the other development work diminishes (no bugs left to fix, servers are stable and fast, I'm not answering 50 emails a day, people are generally happy with the state of the game), then I will be able to work towards that 100/week goal. I will be able to spend all 5 days each week producing content.
This game has been through A LOT of stuff over the past three months. Players have been unhappy with the state of the game many times and for many different reasons. Boredom, steady states, griefing, lack of meaning, baby suicide, etc. And that list doesn't even include "bad updates," which of course I had to scramble to fix instead of making more content. I think most of that stuff has been ironed out now, and most people think the game is in a pretty good place.
This is reflected in the player reviews. The last negative review was posted 5 days ago (until the one that was just posted today), amid 20+ positive reviews during that time. Sales are climbing too. People like the game again. I think that's really important.
I do understand that. In fact, I felt too demanding when I said we needed different character heights. I don't mean make them RIGHT NOW! But it would be interesting if you could make them sometime. It'd make the heights less monotone at that. Sorry if we overwhelmed you.
So, running as Administrator stops the issue! Nevermind, it only helps. Crap.
Hmmmm, might want to switch to server2, I'll do that!
Wait, I just realised, no matter which server I try, it crashes
Just realised, that wouldn't work either Joriom, as I have no way to reinstall or download the game right now.
IT JUST HAPPENED RIGHT NOW! I don't know why my game crashes? Can someone help me out here please?
I don't know why, but my game KEEPS ON CRASHING! Can someone explain how this is happening and how I can fix it?
What if there were different heights of character models? Slightly different, not too obnoxious. That might be fun! I could play as a short (adult) lady running around in the woods gathering tinder.
I actually thought about that. It seemed too expected to grow the exact height of everyone else, to the point where I actually use it as a trick to see when I hit adulthood. I really do want some height variation.

It was hilarious though being born to a mother about to hit menopause for the second time! I wonder, did any of you have this happen? *You become a toddler actually at 3.5, not 4 years old, just to debunk the misconception. That's why I said 1.5 minutes from toddlerhood at 2. Wait 30 seconds, and see if you have 8. This will prove this true.
this happened a lot of times, they dont realize i do, i type old old old, with 1-2 letters, they talk shit and try to pick me up, i try to run to somebody but mostly always die cause they pick me up over and over and im pissed, im so pissed dieing at 7 bar
yes its 8 bars to become toddler, your character even smiles or just the mouth changes. still age 3 and u can starve before age 4 if you dont eat, and shows 3
Oh okay. Maybe it might be just my perception of time. It is a bit wonky. Thanks for debunking it though! I didn't know it didn't work.
Yeah. If you read The Nudity Question in News you'll see he says that there will be 100 player models, all with unique looks and skin tones, though I hope there'll be more.
You have to optimistic in this case.

Somehow, when I was playing One Hour One Life, the audio staggered and glitched. The audio stopped. Then the client suddenly closed down. Could you explain this, as it just happened. I might email it to Jason Rohrer if I can. Nevermind. I don't trust myself with some websites. Could someone explain why this glitch happened?
Yeah. Old people in real life do get less hungry.
Basically, in game, stay in a perfect/ good temp spot and say your last words.
(or some funny ones )

Okay weh has som gud win her!
No. No. NO... NO.
I had that happen once, where I could still speak, but was stuck and bouncing until I starved. That was before the client give-up failsafe though.
Thanks man! Now I can see my Mother Jackie when she's and dead *and undisturbed shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.*
