dunno how the reply thing works.
yes i was Lana :3 gave crown to my son and told him to be a good king :3
healed a boy in the next life after, 2nd person i saved so fare :3
I was Lacee. I guess we're all united now.
Ideally I'd try to make them all. Usually I start with the axe because keeping the small fire going is a pain ass, Then the shovel comes straight after. At this point people usually ask for the hoe so I make that, hopefully others dig wells and get on with farming.
Then I'll go for the file, sometimes have to make the bow too. Once files done I'll make, sawblade, shears, froe and adze. The pickaxe is my last priority most of the time, can usually find enough iron for the first round of tools. But if I have time I'll make a mine and bring a cart of iron for the future.
Beyond that you just make multiple hoes and axes.
Yeah I avoid areas behind trees like crazy, and try to remember what dangers are around and where they patrol. Eve towns are harsh environments: you want desert for warmth, but not if there is a snake infestation, you want swamps for water, but not if there are boars close by. I approach new swamps and deserts VERY carefully, standing still for some time to see if animals move in the biome if there are a lot of trees. If I see snakes or boars, I avoid the area until it is cleared with an axe (also warning others).
I have died to wild animals only when ambushed outside of my vision, walking up behind me and crossing paths for the split second they need to strike.
I kinda wanna suggest animal trails or something so you can see animal trails on the ground and be alert for them, but I worry it will cause lag and not be helpful around trees (maybe we just need more opacity on trees).
Or perhaps some easy-ish ways to hold animals in their biomes too, like sprinkling chili powder around to act as an animal repellent.
At Least animals don't respawn to my knowledge. If you massacre the local wildlife then future generations will be safer.
Lineage bans, What's wrong with playing as your own grandkid to finish your projects. Just apply it to people that murder or if people curse them. I hate it when i live a life in the only good town and I'm forced to play in trash towns for hours.
Also the so called curse system has little effect.
Besides that there is the inability to be a father in the game. The adoption feature was a step in the right direction but if you name the kid then it should be turn into your son/daughter and appear under you even if your male. Also the ability to marry would be pretty cool .

My life was pretty ordinary for the most part. I made a couple batches of stew, extended the farms etc. I heard a bunch of crying above me, twin girls had been born. They would be future griefers but I was happy to see some girls at the time.
As usual my mother had a better relationship with her daughter. To my sisters credit she was helping out making tools while I did most of my work outside her view. Still, Was a bit sad that mum never talked me much after birth. She never said goodbye to me, only my sister. I ran after my dying mum to ask if she loved me but she died of old age before she saw it.
A bit later one of the twin girls was running around with a bow. My sister was also aware of this, We knew that killing one would leave us open to be killed by the other.
I stabbed one of them but the other sister shot me before I could get behind a tree. My sister recently died with her last words saying i saved the town.
Goodluck to them.
Ps My murderer is alive still so I'm a bit worried. She is probably going to try and attack again at some point, salty that we killed her friend.
Maybe try to talk to people? Why would you be remembered if you never socialized with anyone and just worked?
I don't mind as much as the title implies. Most of my male lives end like this.
I was probably the one bitching about the baskets because people kept taking them from the farm and I was the only one tending to it my whole life. Also I had lots of kids and couldn't actually leave them behind while farming as well, I did appreciate your compost & baskets though!
Yeah I remember you, Berry farming is the most hated job. But hey, someone's gotta do it otherwise the whole field dies.
My productivity is also hindered by babies. It feels like a have a baby everytime I'm about to do something. I usually just name then and dump them on someone else. If they are gonna do nothing but have babies then they might as well raise other people's babies.
Alleria wrote:If you're a good player and don't tolerate sponges, then you can easily just hang out and RP for 20 minutes.
I rp/idle irl for like 90% + of the time. Easy.
Africa is noob continent that is why it is so shit.
We're all probably sponges irl, complaining about people that don't contribute to a virtual society while doing nothing to contribute to real society.

The town itself wasn't so bad, Everything setup by gen 6 is impressive for a town. I presume this place was started by pein given our name.
Did some brief pie making and sheep feeding but I mostly farmed wheat and carrots while making compost and baskets. My mother starved while she was holding me, She was just saying how new she was. I would've tried to teach her but she died as soon as I turned 3.
I didn't talk to my sisters much, one of them said they were just standing around having babies and eating because they didn't know what to do. I told her to do some work and she said she was on "welfare". Another lady bitching about "no baskets" so I stepped in and made a bunch. Was kind of frustrating that she didn't try to fix the problem on her own, instead she complained for 5 minutes.
Town already had a good setup so they should survive for a long time unless stupid people ruin it. Could use a bigger sheep pen and more iron, I saw a few kids with some brain power so somebody probably did that.
OHOL is trying to be realistic, and right now, everything is pretty easy to survive in real life.. I was thinking, once OHOL gets as advanced as this, will there be money, jobs, and people who can just relax? Or will it generally just be the same forever. Working the whole time your there, with at most 5 minutes of talking to people?
I think it'll still be mostly working although we'd have more advanced tech. We could automate alot of the stuff we do currently.
But I'd imagine setting up electricity or building a car would be alot then forging some steel tools.
Ugh, the ugly alternative sheep pens are bad enough. The trash pit setup is undeniably cheaper but good god is it ugly.
Neo wrote:Set your homemarker and die of OLD AGE. This will probably cause an Eve to appear at some point.
Does this actually work? I wish it did. It would be nice to know the next Eve gets to benefit from your camp.
Yeah, You know when Eves spawn in ruins. That's because someone with a home marker died of old age at some point.
Dunno if it always works but I've seen plenty of Eves repopulate dead towns.
I think early on its better to starve boys, Gotta ensure that a daughter survives. In the past when I've played as an Eves son it usually results in all my sisters starving.
You can do the amazon until you've got a good setup for a sustainable town. After that your boys will probably be the ones making tools, sheep and hunting. All while your girls say "all boys are slaves" while sitting around doing nothing but having kids and running around with a bow playing prison guard.
You got two options, Preferably you should do both .
1. Build a bell tower, This is hard because it makes multiple generations to complete. But ringing it tells everyone without a homemarker set where your towns at, Potentially migrants might come. It's sort of a long shit since other towns if any are usually lifetimes away. It's a long shot.
2. Set your homemarker and die of OLD AGE. This will probably cause an Eve to appear at some point.
Pretty sure you can just make a fire and burn the seeds as he spawns them.
Yeah probably a good idea to clear out or baby proof bearcaves asap.
I was Berry, Ender's granddaughter. I did notice the location was a little odd, but the camp had actually grown quite well despite this. We had an excess of food and things were going well. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be. My mother Sweden had 2 girls (me included) that stayed. Sadly my sister Kinda perished by snake bite with no living children. As the only girl left, I was desperate for a daughter. I had eight children and only three of those stayed (sadly all sons). All others ran off at birth. We were so desperate that we ran after the last girl, begging her to stay (I was very close to old age at this point), but she showed no mercy. We then all set out on a (very) desperate search for an Eve with no luck as far as I know. I try to make the best of any situation I am born into, and believe me I really tried with this one. This was one of 2 towns (almost 3) I witnessed die tonight. All because people kept suiciding. The other towns were really nice too. Nice locations with a lot of resources. I have never seen so many people suicide before. Many mothers went entire lifetimes without one child who stayed. There is no way that cities will be able to grow if this keeps up. It's sad really.
You know it's likely the same person each time.
Where you by any chance in the Bullet family earlier. In the end I was the last one alive.
Shame that a lot of towns are like this.
Neo wrote:Hi mum, We buried you next to Grandma. My younger sister said she would bury me next to you so hopefully we can be a nice family of Graves.
The griefers didn't do any real lasting damage and Tara was lacking in IQ department.
Hi Lacee! Thank you for the burial! Fun how two family trees managed to grow together there.
True that. But man it gets so hectic with two running around. Gonna keep an eye on babies with the naming ceremony behavior for sure... And try to get a hunter life for practicing with bows. Otherwise I will be a bow juggler forever. :'D Oh man I was trying so hard.
I just noticed that the JR's have died out sadly, Our random bloodline is still going at least.
The JR's will always be the true founders tho.
Hi Jr family! It was a pleasure living with your folks in the town you made. I was from "Unkle" lineage (704530) generation 3's Lilith (704980), but my mom never got the surname so I was just a Lilith in the town of Jrs, not related to basically anyone. My mother was making a camp, northeast of the Jr town.
I ended up as the queen of the Jr village: I found Jr generation 12's Bob IV afking at the edge of a field, then he died, and well, the crown was there so I took it and wanted to see if I could give it back to a promising Jr as I helped around the city.
I ended up being so busy I never managed to search out a good Jr. I gave my crown to my firstborn who had kept the village safe: sadly I had birthed one Unnamed griefer into the village, and she killed people along with another griefer, Tara (who was my sister's child). Me, the villagers and my daughters got the griefers in the end and managed to stack some curse on the one called Tara, but I didn't manage to name the Unnamed griefer and she died like that. My bad, I now know I have the power to name Unnamed adults.
The village is still alive and kicking as far as I can see. But I am worried the griefers get right back there...
Oh well, it was a great place and I made sure to give important jobs around as we tried to keep the village safe.
Hi mum, We buried you next to Grandma. My younger sister said she would bury me next to you so hopefully we can be a nice family of Graves.
The griefers didn't do any real lasting damage and Tara was lacking in IQ department.

Born again in the same town but different family, The original bloodline was still there.
I was glad to see our building was still being used as the smithy, There was even a second building being made and a road connecting them up.
But it wasn't all peaceful, There was two murderers that went on killing spree. We killed them both and they got cursed by the entire city.
The second building was finished off by my son and we decided to use it as a storage room.
I'm glad more people are building stuff even if it's a huge pain in the ass. Civilization is advancing.

I had a fun time in this town, Me and my brothers got alot done. The town was in the Tools Era, Heading into the sheep Era.
Me and my brothers focused mostly on tools and sheep while my sisters tended to the farmland below us. It felt like the town was divided in two groups, The Men held the forge and sheep area while the women held the farms. I only ventured into the females turf to grab a quick snack every few years. I only talked to my sister and mother once or twice.
We were temporarily united while my mother was on her deathbed, All of us said our goodbyes and she she died of old age.
Our lives where filled mostly with menial labour, Gather iron, Make shovel, Make pickaxe, Cook goose etc. But as the years webt by my brothers aged and died one by one. Then I noticed various nephews replacing us as the years went on.
Our last bug project was a building, Figured it was about time. My brother died and me and a nephew finished it in his honor. We built a forge and some chests, The temp was good so I thought it might make a good work area.
He told me "Don't die while I'm gone" and ran off. Thankfully I lived long enough to see him return before dying of old age.
That's some bad luck, Similar stuff happens with my Eve runs. I've had girls but they all died, Only boys, girl that survived but didn't keep babies, I've even had Eve run with no kids at all
You should've still died of old age so that another Eve could've had a chance.
So the 3D mod is pretty cool right

This town was quite good, They focused more on stews and pies not so much berries. I was a bit lost at first, cooked up a few raw stew pots that were laying around and planted some seeds. I had to to go afk, My brother was nice and kept me alive while I was gone.
Then I saw an unfinished building, The walls and door was already finished but the interior had no floor and was covered in bones.
Brother made a cemetery on both sides and we decided to make it a "church". I finished off the floor and removed a random oven that was inside.
Door had a lock on it but luckily I had the key, I feel like it will eventually be griefed. I think some people wanted to use it as a hospital. After that I helped some lady make pies until I died. I wanted to give her my pack but a little girl took it. From what i can see no one has been murdered so maybe I was lucky and she wasn't a griefer. She said she wanted to hunt rabbits so I guess she just wanted the storage. I hope my unintentional heir didn't turn out to be a bitch.
Mother died young and she only had boys stay, 1 made it pretty far, 2 suicided and me and Luna died of old age. Everyone else was random cousins in a different branch of the family tree.
I was the little girl that took the pack. I thought I'd make better use of it and I believe I did (trapper/shepherd). I ended up using the key to save my daughter and granddaughter who got trapped in the house. I also added the second layer to the belltower.
Very sad that the civ died.
Edit: Turns out my granddaughter let the civ down... Maybe if I was a better grandmother.
Yeah that's what I figured, I just get worried whenever a kid gets ahold of a knife and pack. You never quiteknow what people's intentions are.
Shame that they died out tho, Looked like they were doing well enough when I was alive.
I was Mary and Janet, here to tell you I never suicided but was abandoned the first time and mum died the second time. Lucky enough to be born again as Pharaoh and have some lovely kids, grow some wheat and sheep tend.
Ah, My bad. I kinda just assumed you ran off. Least you came back and lived a nice life.
