I posted an article (meta-kind, topic:"Keeping stuff to next life is wrong"), about keeping stuff/being identified from life to next. Since there are suggested tattoos, chromosomes, you name it. I like (though newbie) the thing you never know where you are born and what to do. Do you see your hand twisted and going with the flow, Twisted ?
You have changed your opinion a bit towards keeping stuff to next life. That's about 180 degree turn !
People would check who is born and identify that one, by any and all ideas said here. About half of babies I have die in my arms now-you don't want interrogation of babies or ID's... Going Stalin `?
btw love your videos Twisted !
Say, a tattoo, chromosome, anything that identifies you as a specific player is same as making each player's name (me: sukallinen) show above his/her head. What needs to be done is figure out how to war (if that's the way game wants to go) between towns. This is NOT simulation of life, this is a simulation of civilization ! (in my head at least)
I especially enjoy you start over always from scratch, nobody knows about you and you know about nobody-by the time you are trusted (depends on town level) you have things set up and know how to play rest half of your game. I still repeat: nothing should move (no genes etc) to next game. This adds thing Jason seem to have avoided-naming people. Now he is for it. I think that is wrong direction.
Only suggestion while I've owned the game worth mentioning is "adding few very rare but valuable biomes"-that would add trade. Remember, this is a game after all, no genes or family lines are a good direction-or you can play clan wars instead ! Of course, each of those rare biomes should not give bonus alone, but need second biome together in order to gain extraordinary bonuses. Thus-trade.

I got one good griefer: said as a kid he'd kill me. Of course I said "do it, but know I didn't mean no harm". On some lagspike or such I had "left him to die", but he started griefing town (I mean, we had a place for eggs, early town, he fried it. I asked not to harm town but concentrate on me... nope, he took plates. He took our only four patches away before shooting me with an arrow-I said watch out for that one).
Just reading the griefing article I realized I should've said he came from NW when I noticed patches missing and him with a bow. I was on my golden age so no worries, no more kids but adventuring-was going to make a cart and go get some mine setup going but was too slow. Oh well.
Nobody harmed,
Good Life.
TL;DR orphans story
I was born, and my mother couldn't feed me once, turned too old to raise me, went to do important business no doubt. There was kind of hustle in nursery room and my F(ood) cries south went unnoticed though there were about three kids in nursery. So, my aunt (gray haired too) fed pie, took me to berry farm and fed me still doing other stuff (compost etc) until I was of age. Told her she'd be proud.
Later, when I was done with my adventuring (I saw one of my own composts still left when I was 40, I had clothed several kids, cistern stoned and such and was bringing what turned out to be my last trip to bring furs and food to behind nursery room), I saw a mother carry a (male too) kid out and close the door leaving kid outside, unable to open the door. I had forgotten my youth, but of course I dropped my trap-set, fed the kid my pies last bite (later noticed it was my nephew) and hand-raised him on the same berry farm. I gave him info about town (I think), then the hunting kit too, and away he went.
Walking around the village at 59, I happen to hear a lady saying her aunt had to raise her for mother abandoned (stopped to listen), some dude said he was about similar case, and was raised by the man. I said then "one must do what one must" meaning her mother probably had important stuff (didn't realize man was my nephew). As I said, I had forgotten I was an orphan too, the young lady was unnamed and my nephew named her for she asked-and I realized who he was for lady asked "you mean that guy". I had seen him and given my knife at my fifties to keep knife safe. He asked where I wanted to be buried, I just had time (before my 60th bday) to say "there is cemetary sw", was going to continue "but np I will get myself there and anyhow nevermind"-alas by that time my time came. Just saw lady telling she knew the place when things went dark.
I have no doubt my bones are there, and a kind words were spoken by two persons about Badi.
Good life.
