I want to know will the towns destroyed by update?

I have once lived in a town with 3 bell towers, and many towns with bell towers. But when each update released, i can never hear the bell again and never born in those towns again.
Will this update just clear all thing in map? If so, i think the game itself is very evil, it kills all hopes once happened in each town.

However, i always create nice town and hopes. lol

Only if they haven't been seen by human eyes in the 24 hours leading up to the update.  Everything that has been seen in the past day is preserved.

However, Eve spawn location after the update might also be an issue.  Eve is spawned after the update at the death location of the longest-lineage person who was alive during the server shutdown.  That is likely to be the most developed village, but perhaps not.
