Existing Home Markers

Hi!  Quick question: Is there a way to adopt an existing home marker as your own?  If you have a family of 4 or 5 in a new village, I don't want to have 4 or 5 home markers for everyone.  So is there a way for everyone to bind to the same marker?

Anyone ever tested if there's any consequence to cutting down the existing home marker for an other player?

Cut it with a sharp stone, hit it again with a round stone. Cutting someone elses marker does not stop it working for them.

it still works for them if its existing, might be a good idea just to make a stone tile and keep a marker and two stones next to it
new players just chuck it to worst places so i tend to cut down multiple, especially no one uses them probably
