Why is a Home HUD indicator displaying after respawn as a baby?

I died of old age and respawned as a baby in a different village, after a minute I heared a sound and the home HUD (indicator on screen) appeared, showing that HOME is 5.9K away, what does that mean?

Is it where the old village (where I died) is located? If so, why did this happen?

Is it the nearest bell ringed?

It is a bell in another town signalling its location. Most likely the closest bell, but doesn't have to be.

It's the last bell you heard rung.

It is no more likely to be a close bell than a far bell.
