It should be possible to do a stat survey of people's last words and look for the frequency of murders and keywords like "griefer" "hiding tools" "killer" etc. and graph the frequency of such words and number of murders against generation which is a rough proxy for the size of a camp or town.
One would need to normalize these numbers against the total number of analyzed last words per generation, but with that done we could see who is most likely hit most often.
False positives should be evenly distributed so they wouldn't be a problem.
Really the idea of analyzing the last words data for other trends seems exciting. Who says "love" most? Any generation difference?

easily exploitable though

If we look at data only before I made this point I don't see how it could be exploited.

What is the question about griefers and small towns?
Offline
What size towns or camps do griefers attack most often. I think they operate where the population is low so empty big towns and mid-size 3-6 gen towns.

I rarely see griefers prior to gen 5. (I don't actually remember the last time that happened)

In my experiences, griefers will grief any time, any place. They just need a "reason". Some griefers tend to target big towns and others prefer small towns, but griefing is everywhere. Large murder streaks are more common in larger towns, because the population is more spread out and slower to react. But it can happen at any level. I've seen people grief eve camps - stealing bowls/plates/food, making bows to kill girls, etc. I've seen people grief small villages - stealing iron tools, breaking stuff, stabbing people with the only knife. I've seen people grief medium sized villages - letting out the sheep, wasting supplies, locking doors. I've seen people grief big cities - killing the women, trapping people, releasing hostile animals, etc.
The tactics might change, but the intent is the same - make other people suffer for their amusement. I doubt that any one type of place really gets hit more than any other, in the long run, except that higher population means more players cycling through the town and more players means higher chance that one of them is a shitbird.

it's more related to population
and number of baskets/bowls and shitty placements
generally noob griefers are everywhere, they just want to try out killing people, bow and knife is very interesting for a lot of newbees
then they are the excuse griefers, sometimes act as heroes, but they just bully others cause they find a weapon or inherit, and eventually just want to use it so any excuse good enough, generally family relation
some revenges are fair, cause people go to far, naming racist names or killing male babies
the more experienced salty kids who go in game with intent to grief whatever the situations
and some griefers with plan, like the pitbull one, when they hide stuff on side of town to attack as a kid

there is no correlation between the size of a town & griefer occurance
as others have stated
griefers are everywhere
there is only one obvious correlation
the higher the number of people the higher the probability of griefers
