Here are some ideas I have for an update! I might edit this if new ideas hit me.
Making a hole, and making a city in the hole.
For this, you will need 3 items.
Shovel, Ladder (Recipes at end of le update thing), and a Torch
And a optional item, Hatch/ Hatch with lock.
This would be cool so people can make cities under that big ass mega city ;-;
How to make ladder, Tied shaft + Tied shaft = Part of ladder, Part of ladder + Tied shaft = Ladder.
How to make torch, Short shaft + Any type of fire = Torch (Equipabble to backpack, cannot add heat, permantly on fire.)
How to make hatch, Stump + Steel Saw = Hatch. (Can have a lock on it.)
Spam eat life at a radio.

I'm sure this is fundamentally not supported by the game engine anyhow.
Ignoring that and the above post, what value would this add? It sounds to be an intensive addition for little purpose.
