I see some of these buildings which are half-unfinished or don't have doors up. Doors without springs also aren't so happy, since they don't get closed.

How many people in your villages do you see wearing shoes?

I'd much rather have more players wearing wooden shoes than unfinished buildings with wood flooring that doesn't have an effect until the building is completely built, and it's value might even be questionable unless it has springy doors.

Wooden shoes give players who wear them benefit immediately, and keep on giving benefit if they stick around after one dies. I think that happens in enough cases.

Is wooden flooring more motivating than having *yourself* and others with a reduced pip drain rate, and thus not having to eat as much *earlier* and potentially also later? I'd doubt it, but I don't want to speak on what motivates other people much.

Each wooden shoe provides 6% insulation or heat: https://onetech.info/2886-Wooden-Shoe . Since you're almost always below the mid-temperature line, this means you'll eat less wearing two wooden shoes than if wearing one or no wooden shoe. Do you want to cook more or have it so that others have to cook more for you? A village with 6 players with 2 wooden shoes each compared to a village with 1 player with wooden shoes and all the other players have no shoes, has to eat a fair amount less than the village with 1 player with wooden shoes. A building without closed doors provides 0% insulation. The doors aren't likely to stay shut long enough until they are springy. It takes much more time overall to get buildings up to that point than to make wooden shoes.

Yes, please wear clothes, any clothes on every slot, because believe it or not it's more beneficial to wear clothes than not to wear clothes. Umm.. who's arguing about not wearing clothes? If you know how to cloth yourself, do it; If not, learn.

Shoe racks made out of what? And would we get more natural material to make shoe racks, or would we back taking up more of the same natural materials to make shoe racks?

Like if we had more natural materials to make shoe racks also, I think I would agree that as better as stacking. But, if it involves using up more butt logs or firewood or branches or rope, I certainly don't agree.

Also, I think I've seen stacked shoes, or shoes in piles, when I did marching band back in school. I think I've piled up my own old shoes sometimes also... like 3 or 4 pairs.

Well it also makes firewood and kindling. And early on there's tons of trees in the swamp with no other purpose. It might be a "single shoe" but if it's worn by 10 ppl then it's basically a bunch of shoes since it saves rabbit hide and thread.

It is practically a universal insult and thus another excellent way to generate drama. And more effective than just 1/2 building a floor to generate drama.
