All small map concepts, like the 700 x 700 Rifts or whatever absurdly small size there were, would probably need something like an arc reset with players still on the server similar to how an apocalypse works. The apocalypse overall is a boring concept: https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewt … p?id=10351 and likewise so are arc resets with players on the server.
Or, without an arc reset, there would only exist built up towns with no green pastures to build things again from scratch. Town or camp diversity would go to zero sooner or later. Different people have interests in different things and that keeps more people interested also.
Either way there's little possibility, other than the possibility of failure. One-dimensional stories are not all that interesting. And too much challenge is boring, especially when one is convinced that succeeding is impossible.

Why are you complaining about a feature that doesn't exist anymore and is not coming back?

We could use this thread to complain about all the dumb stuff that isn't in the game anymore.
Remember non-stacking carrots? Those were the worst.

Or individual seeds laying everywhere! Ugh, the nightmare!
