UPDATE:
The long awaited update you can kill now Moskitos! Its not easy, but you can do it!

Have a nice hunt!

- Allow killing of Moskito with Firebrand
- Sapling regrow now on original and cost some little hungry work

The sheep happened to escape into the wild and was hiding with the rabbits. Maybe it had an idendity cirsis:

Since the bug list is getting shorter and new mechanics seems to work mostly fine i think its save to say that we reached Early BETA. This means the server is playable but might have some bugs and new mechanics could need more balancing. Also not yet mass tested. Thanks a lot to all the testers going on the journey together. Your feedback helped a lot!

I tried to use a skewer on clay to make a nozzle, and it gave me some message about being full. I then tried again while full and got the same message, and no clay nozzle.

Also, I used '/leader' and it crashed my client.

What was the exact text of the message?

Yes /leader currently some how crashes quite often the client. Seems like some following information is not how the client likes it. since the client does not give any meaningful debug message i could not yet solve it.

in November i plan to spend some more time on development like implementing some basic property protections like chests and doors with number codes to protect your stuff while being offline.

Most stuff should currently work, of course the map is currently quite small, but this is intentional to allow a more alive map. Later it might be increased in size. But it round, so the world should not feel boxed in...

My potato comp broke and summer came so didnt feel the need to get one asap. Hopefully i can get a new one for winter had great time on this server.

hey jin thx for posting! Have you checked the latest AI upgrades?

By the way I made some hints for new players: (more updated list on the beginning of this thread)
Hints:
- Surviving winter is hard, bad temperature can and will kill you / make damage
- Animals make double damage in winter so take care!
- Your max food pipes are now also your hitpoints
- Having less hitpoints then 20 lowers your speed having more increases it
- The YUM chain boni displayed (corner left) is now your health / general fitness score. It wont give food boni
- The more health / fitness you have the more hitpoints you have and the less you age
- Eating YUM / Cravings increases your health / fitness eating MEH reduces it
- Your relatives eating Eating YUM / Cravings increases your score / fitness
- Relatives wont never reduce your score / fitness except you attack them (so kids are always net positive)
- The more you eat same food the less food value it provides
- Eating YUM / Cravings in between can restore YUM boni from other food
- Eating YUM gives one coin / you can give coins with GIVE X with x=IIX for example 12 and x=IXX = 21
- You have a higher chance to be incarnated to your grave with a grave stone
- You are displayed as cursed if close to your not diged in bones
- Being cursed means you get more damage and have little bit less speed (so others can kill you more easily)

Commands: (may be deactivated or work only on low population later or cost more coins)
- !JH jumps you to a random human player
- !JAI jumps you to a random AI
- !TP teleports you to main village on server
- !TG teleports you to a random grave of you with a gravestone

- ?SEASON or SEASON? displays the current season and how strong it is
- FOLLOW let the AI follow you
- STOP let the AI stop and wait for some secs and also stops following
- DROP let AI drop held object
- GO HOME let the AI go home
- HOME lets the AI set closest oven as their new home
- MAKE XX with X = ID or name / part of the name of object to craft

The Ai mastered now pottery!

It will create bowls and plates if they are running low as long as there is close clay and a kiln (it wont build a kiln yet)

Still to do:
- craft also other pottery stuff then bowls and plates

Yes , I played few times with recent changes. AI is much smarter now and can keep village going for a while.

lol yea! It was mainly the performance update plus optimized pottery for the AI. Most village changes where already in before the break and now work quite well with the performance boost.

Now with food stuff its mainly optimizing farming and fire food missing.

Of course taking care of sheep / cows and making stew could also help, but this i see as advanced stuff.

Maybe sheep for compost could help a lot for older villages but this needs also shovel making.

Other stuff that could make the Ai more efficient is knife making / handling. I think it would be fine if the Ai takes care of it well, so that it wont decay that often.

Other wise basic migration, combat and more construction stuff gathering plus better long way pathing is missing.

Im also thinking about letting the Ai make graves with gravestones for nobles (1 per village per account at max) to boost the reincarnation potential.

It came a long way, most basic stuff should work now.

yes working on it with the help of jinbalis massive testing.

last weeks AI was improved a lot. Its now close to run a village from taking care of kids to farming, baking, composting, mining and smithing.

Still its not perfect yet, for example sometimes it wont water yet even if it proved it can. So with little human help it does quite well.

It knows the hole crafting tree, so you can order it with make xxx to make a lot of stuff.

Some things like destroying or building ovens for now are forbidden so that AI wont mess around with this.

So for now humans are responsible for building permanent stuff.

Sometimes Ai makes funny stuff like placing tons of garlands on trees to get rid of popcorn.

Thx to jinbalis great testing the server itself run now quite well. Still there are some bugs like new calves dying faster then they should but they become less and less.

Some advanced stuff like writing, locks are not yet implemented but in exchange you have a much more living world then vanilla OHOL.

Main bug is currently that /LEADER sometimes crashes the client. Sadly Jasons client wont report why it crashed so i guess to solve that i would have to run the client in debug mode.

Actually if one wants to help it would be very nice to find out why Jasons client crashes on /LEADER.
