In my last life I played as a leader. Someone came to me and accused player X for killing the sheep. I exiled X at once to prevent further losses. However, when I went to check the pen, I found out that the mouflon was spared. I sincerely thought it was griefing and went back to X to find if she could explain it. However, X was killed and cursed before I could say anything.
I genuinely felt bad for X. I don't think she deserves to be killed.
I would like to know if you will consider this behavior griefing?

Typically, griefers don’t spare the mouflon. Typically, friendly people leave some sheep. These are only the simplest of clues. Better is to go to the accused and ask them about it. It could be a misunderstanding. They could be getting framed.
And because they could be getting framed, it’s a good idea to get more info from the accuser. Pay attention if the two stories don’t line up. If you can catch either one lying, then you’ve cracked the case.
Just remember you could be talking to someone who isn’t good at communicating.
And of course, the complications can overwhelm the situation. You may be dealing with someone who’s just a jerk and not a griefer. Example:
Q. "Hey, why did you kill all the sheep? We need some for making clothes."
A. "Mind your own business. I play like I want!"
It’s tough. Good luck out there.
