In my two lifetimes tending sheep and eating mutton pies.

I have yet to encounter this rare pile of sh- poop.

Am I missing something.

or is a 3x3 pen too small.

There has to be a spot for the dung to spawn on, so if it's filled with dead lambs and other stuff, you won't get it.

Afaik they only poop on transition from baby to adult sheep. Bonus is that you will have tons of sheep so there will be some to slaughter for mutton.

I believe they poop if you feed them, even if they are adults.

clean out pen, and cut the big ones, i plan to set up compost under one life, having good results on making a fast pen, and getting sheep, the support on food is usually delays me

i was eves son, my mom died with second kid before i went to check on them
made pen, brought sheep, at like 45 year old had to stop playing, as i was going to work irl

found some basic stuff like 6 patches of carrot fields i could water, and a small milkweed farm, i guess a rich green biome would do too

dont think you can do as an eve but you can do it second generation with some help
but both a smith and a pen maker is required to be able to do it, if i reborn to my camp, i can start doing it but horse carts are needed to have enough berry bowls, to keep up with soil loss

ofc you need my alternative sheep pen designs, cause normal fence takes too long from scratch
i made a pen using thrash pits near a cactus/pond or with oven bases near natural blocking tiles

two thigns are important: make the bowl of berry with carrot asap before all bushes are picked, you need 3 of them for first compost and 2 afterwards for each
have rope bow and arrow ready, and hidden

you can make a cheap pen even after crafting some tools, bring a sheep
i guess need soem good map knowledge and luck too

I was just in a town where we had a lot of sheep, and no dung at all. We had plenty of lambs that were fed and transitioned to adults, but no dung. The pen was completely clean and there was plenty of space. Now that I think about it, I haven't seen dung in two days. Possible that dung is bugged now?

Was it town with king with blue clothes and the fire pit had stone floor and a perfect heat tile?
Damn we had a TON of mutton, I must be doing something wrong I raised at LEAST 10 sheeps personally... no poop
I told people we needed to craft exlax at the pharmacy to unlock poo.

I really hope it is bugged, or that someone know what we are doing wrong. I think a sheep
being on a tile in the moment of its growing up is maybe a little to harsh to pull off..

At least I made a few sets of wool clothes, none of the fancy died shit though that was before my time <3

Yup, I was actually King Ted (just died). I was in that town a couple generations before, when I made the first 10 or so stone tiles and all the red clothes. Came back and decided to go blue.

This isn't the first town where I haven't seen dung though. I was in another one yesterday where I couldn't get dung to work, but I figured it was because my pen was too cluttered.

I was just there someone wheated the fields and most people were starving, I set out to forage and maybe bring back soil and seeds but I got lost.

was in same city, can confirm no dung
fed multiple they had space

one time i seen dung was when a sheep escaped, so dung was outside fence, not sure if the one i fed, guy released them as was stupid fence with airlock, after i fixed with diagonal acces and lured back one sheep when had no lamb follows you. should of been, maybe needs exact same time a free tile when makes poo, so you gonna need huuuuge fence to increase chances for that or feed a lose lamb and kill it once its big

so i was in the city with stone path, daughter of queen, named me left me
i found the tile under bear rug to be the best temp so i burned less calories, as kid looked around just a bit, was hard to stay alive, and even harder to take food, somehow got some berries but all was depleted, i made my pack with last of threads, soon was no more of that. my nurse moma asking everyone to make fire, no one listened, too lazy.
i brought a few branches for firewood. all was messed up. i survived on last wild berries then i filled pack with two cooked rabbits, famine ht in first time. i watered berries, no one did that either.

i was taking only one pie, then the ones already half eaten and left in far places.
gave birth 9 times, i figured i keep my kids so they see the city, i knew there is not enough food, but i also had many bad runs. geared first one and last one but i think all died soon, told them they will.

talked with granny who saw i know what im doing as i was full white clothed, she told me about north city where make carrots. she saved my life.

told a knife lady to cut sheared sheep to make mutton pie, and to cut them, she has knife and doesnt even know this is her job. lost two girls when looking for city, i was without marker and no food, everyone running with two kids, was tight, second time i almost died, so lost two small daughters, told them to run south to see, they died soon after far from both cities.

then i ran north gave birth to a son, waited grew, daughter, left my son, showed girl city south left her south, i jsut run back and forth until i seen all dead

south had wheat farm, mess, no sheep left sheared. when i grew old, took cart went far north, only found one berry bush, took it then ate it accidentally xD
nord was also suffering as they ate seeds, someone watered one but like 4 guys survived, one in red shirt, i buried him in basket as i took the clothes.
told the young guy there is a city south, we went there as most of my kids who had pack. possible some alive, but havent seen them. this guy i saved took some carrots for me, berries grew back, they watered, so i managed to restore sheep count, clear fence. no dung as far i seen had a few empty tiles 4x4 had like 3 but many mutton and bones still inside. couldnt manage to feed more as i was too old and died.

before that found the blue guy with knife, told the last fertile lady who was made queen that the north city has no womans. had a bit more chance there to survive, especially with so many newbies, south only was for the ones who know what are doing i think.

so it was close, but the city survives. its fair to give a chance to all kids to see that city, sorry for the two daughters i lost, that was a choose one situation.

so a city like that and 90% of players only take the food and wonder around until they die. the current state of game doesnt allow teaching. i really really think shouldnt allow another kid until when you holding one, i wont repeat myself, mb once a day i keep all of them, after that i am very selective. maybe when older age and somehow check family/population around for births, could allow more kids.

Just spawned there again and ended up getting my blue clothes back. Someone found FIVE gold. He made a bell and I made one of each crown and passed it on to my kids. The town is doing okay right now, just subsisting on mutton pie. We were carting in soil from far away, but the mutton pies go a long way so the wheat is lasting a decent amount of time.

There's also a little settlement up north, maybe 3-4 biomes away, and it's full of my kids right now. They have a good carrot farm going up there. It would be nice to get those two places connected, maybe farm carrots up north and cart them down for sheep.

we did that once but carrot was still growign but i brought a smart young man south, he was same age to you (new queen was you i guess)

i would only tell south town for the kids who reach older age, definitely dont bring small worms down there

fed domestic lamb post hungry- so need to wait lamb almost dead, its head is down, means hungry, then feed it, might be that i fed when i could not when hungry
