You do have the data for death count based on age and gender, I'm assuming, BUT...
Does that statistic factor in suicide babies? Can it tell that the mother rejected them or did the baby just "NOPE" out of that life?

Hopefully these polls help shine light on the difference between suicide babies and selective parenting.

For example: I try to keep my babies no matter what the gender.. HOWEVER I've noticed A LOT MORE male babies suicide than female babies. It's almost like people have developed this mentality that boys aren't wanted so they take the quick way out. They don't even let me choose to keep or not! Which in turn makes me nervous every single time I have a male baby because I worry about wasting my time and energy on a baby that is just going to leave.

I don't usually suicide but if I do it's if I'm born to an Eve just because I have done that start quite a few times (still satisfying if you stick to it though).
Honestly I prefer having males. You don't really need more than one female in a town, assuming that they are definitely going to live, and then the rest will be more efficient workers. Ha but in real life one woman and then only males may not go so well.

I know you it's impossible to cover every scenario in these polls, but some of these are hard to answer. Like "how often do you leave baby boys to die" (I pick more often than girls) but that's usually because all my kids have died or ran off lol, so I need the girls. But if I got 2 girls at home accounted for, it's boys from then on out. And as far as suiciding, I only really suicide when my mom names me something like "fuckface" or "jabbaflaberscony" (instant escape, % lol).

I prefer being male, because then I don't have to deal with babies. I can just go out and adventure uninterrupted.

Would be fascinating to get some real results, given forum users are significantly more skilled and knowledgeable than the average player - so we're gonna get some heavy selection bias.

bad choices

if the food allows i keep all the boys but no more than two girls, if my daughters are big enough i dont keep any

i prefer beeing male, in a good food situation, but dead towns are so sad
i really like if i got babysiters or at least people who make food, so i can deal with advanced stuff, seems im like 5x faster than others to realize the problems and fix it, seems to be so bad to do the basic mothering
thats why i dont really keep babies if im holding one
