so we were born into big city, me as eve, and ragnar, been there yesterday, stone room with random wooden boxes
had like 10 kids, my second son killed two of my kiddos, idiot sees a knife and kills sisters and brothers, so i stabbed him
and one more daughter who was running around aimlessly as baby wasting food and my time, went old, warned her not to move, she jumped out of hand while naming , went old anyway so took her out of city and stabbed her
even i explicitly told all kdis to clean up and make compost, they did nothing on the issue, even ate most of berries
of course they over farm carrots and didnt even pick the seeds so we lose 10 soil for nothing, basically i made first straw basket at older age, one daughter helped cleaning up
a full fricking city and people die at age 8-12, im done with kids, i keep a son and a daughter and she babysits if wants to, i gonna be on their ass and explain what to do, 2-3 alive from 10 with tons of food around

I was one of your descendants, although we lost the name along the way. (Murphy's law of OHOL: whichever girl you for some reason don't bother to name will inevitably be the one who carries on the lineage.)
Anyway, we were doing well when I died, although I'm a little worried there might not have been enough fertile females carrying on. We had compost, and were able to keep up a pretty big farm quite well. I guarded one of the knives for quite a while and passed it on to a trustworthy daughter. (We did have one murder before that,-- or two, technically, since the murderer was immediately killed -- but I'd say it was justified. If you go around calling people racist names, folks, I have zero sympathy when someone stabs you for it.)
We had pretty good kids, too. Even the person who was a clear newbie asked how to do things and tried to be helpful. Admittedly, she sometimes ran off when I was trying to explain things, but she was actually useful on the farm, nevertheless.
It was a good life. So, hey, I'm glad you had kids.

Descendant here!
I was "Hero" of generation 8.
I lived a good long productive life.
There were two murders while I was there. Jamie shot someone with an arrow.
She claimed it was an accident (it wasn't...). Her grandmother, Isha shot her back.
Please be kind.

Registered just to say I was also your descendant. I don't remember why I died so young. So sad.

It looks like the line died out in generation 15. Not too bad for an Eve who thought her kids were useless.

well i kept ragnar as we born together, was no question to me, but the time i spent on 10 kids, i could of just fixed myself the town. so any half decent person would of survived for long. im not the baby machine type but this city was big, i known it from before. dont wanted deny a chance for them.
btw we had 4 knifes originally, 1 of it i made myself before we died out in other family. they made a stone room then fucked up with boxes. guy built himself in and starved, we jsut laughed as we had no woman and i didnt realized in time i could of pulled the box he made in door with a firebrand. i left in a good shape back then so was happy to born there. funny thing that i was a guy all day today after that so havent had a chance to try raising a kid and beeing on her ass.
My biggest issue was there were no water near the berry farm, so was hard with a kid to make bowls and water it, was a mess and wasnt fun for me.

I was just born into this city and lived a fairly unremarkable life there. The crazy/cool thing for me is that I founded the original city as Eve Balram several days ago. I thought my descendants had all died off, and assumed the city had also vanished. But it just turns out the Peinado's resettled it. Between the Peinado's 25 generations and Balrag's 20, that makes 45 generations (between two lines) in the same town that I mostly settled just because I was about to starve and wanted to stop running. Of all the places I settled as an Eve, this one did not seem promising, but it's been the most prosperous. It was very fun to wander, forty-five generations later, around the berry grove that I planted (as Eve) in the moments before I kicked it.

25 generations?! Oh, hey, will you look at that! I wrote us off too soon. My little newbie daughter Sally had another daughter that lived to adulthood, after all. Which means every generation after the 13th I am personally responsible for. (I was Harlow, in generation 13.) That is amazing! And people think it doesn't pay to be patient with the new players and keep them alive.
I'm so glad that place kept going, and GRose, it is nothing short of incredible to think of you seeing it that way again, after founding it so long ago. I'd love to have that kind of experience sometime (although my memory is bad enough that whether I'd even be able to recognize a place I founded is a reasonable question). I think it's moments like that that make this game really special.
EDIT: Whoops, OK, looks like I can't take full credit. Looks like we only got to generation 21 through my line, and the one that kept going past that was a cousin branch. I think, anyway. It's a complicated family tree. Nevertheless, I retain my feeling of pride!
