Game stuck downloading update

Hi! I hope this is the right place to post this.

I got the game and everything was going smoothly until I got to the screen where it is trying to download the updates. I thought the game had froze when I didn't see the progress bar move after waiting an hour, but I can still hit escape to get the "are you sure" screen to pop up. I left it going all night to see if it would do anything but I just woke up this morning to see it still stuck in the same place.
I have all the files extracted onto the desktop, so reading though the troubleshooting thread nothing seemed like the fix to the problem I'm having.
Thank you so much for any help! I'm so excited to play this game!

Maybe downloade it again? Shouldnt update even for an hour when your connection is decent.

just quit and start game again, seems to be you left client open for a while and gets stuck on download
