Chat box keeps popping up

I've noticed the chat box keeps popping up even if I don't press enter to open it.

same here. i thought it was due to discord because my keyboard flashes when i'm pinged on discord and the text box would pop up at the same time. however after paying more attention, the text box pops up seemingly randomly even when there is no discord ping.

Weird!

It should be triggered by the ENTER key...

Or by the UP/DOWN arrow (the keys you can use to page through chat history to repeat the same message without retyping).

No chance the hands are brushing these keys?

Can someone send me a short recordedGame file showing this?

Okay, fixed this in source. The fix will go live later this week.

Just don't walk north 1000 pixels from where you were born and click there.... there's a hidden text field up there that is the underlying mechanism for chat, and if you click in exactly the right spot, it comes into focus.

You folks who were having it happen over and over were in exactly the right spot...
