Coinbase Commerce is probably easiest to set up.
Why: fastspring forcibly adds vat (20%-25%) to every payment from the EU. That's why I buy games from g2a/kinguin instead of using steam, but this game isn't on steam.
This could result in some marketing on the cryptocurrency subreddits (r/bitcoin r/ethtrader r/btc).

We should be able to unlock the cryptocurrency tech in-game, once we have computers.

Maybe just pay your taxes?
Offline
Because a cumulative tax of ~65% is so great. Yeah no.
Nothing else I seen, except giants like steam, has forced vat on payments. Not even paypal does. Just fastspring for some insane reason. So in effect a much poorer region (did you know that California alone has a bigger economy than France?) is forced to pay more. That's not a good way to increase global sales.

What is that vat tax? 4-5€? So, Jason should take time away from content and programming to install a new payment system (with a currency that could be worth tomorrow half of what it is today), because some people don't want to give their government a few extra dollars?
Vat is mandated by the EU, with rates determined by its member states. If retailers aren't charging it for purchases, it's because they already included it in the cost of the game.

I would appreciate very much if a cryptocurrency like Dash is added as a payment method. I want to buy this game but I don't have access to the current payment methods.

Wait. You have crypto but not a bank account?

I do have a bank account, but I don't have a card that makes international payments. Usually I pay via boleto on Steam but that isn't available here.

Uhh... PayPal?
Expecting Jason to take crypto is like... lunacy. Like, no other author would you expect them to take that seriously.
"Oh hi, this is Ubisoft. You want to pay with crypto? That's cool. I want a rocket car."
All for like, 5 possible sales.

Cryptocurrency is the future. Thats how we will abolish the goverments that see us as a resource rather than humans.
I'm all for implementing at least most known cryptocurrencies in most services, both online and offline.

Katastic, using gocoin to accept crypto payments doesn't seem that complicated at all. Many serious companies like Lionsgate are using it.
A market with a combined capitalization of 300+ billion USD is not insignificant. There are even places like Venezuela with a poor banking system but a flourishing crypto ecosystem.
But in the end that's Jason's decision and I'll eventually find some way to pay for the game.

As you can see for my nickname, im full bullish on crypto at long term, but that doesnt mean that the creator of the game, Jason, has enough trust in the technology or future, to the point to accept payments.
I have thinking of using crypto in private servers, but in a long, long, long future, the game consume low resources, it can even mine at the same time. (choosing a gpu mining coin, with constant pay)
Jason knows about programming a game, im sure he knows something about crypto.
Between you and me, in crypto, time is your best friend.

That's why you had to invest in crypto when the price of graphic card started to rise! But with the current crash/correction, some people who bought at the peak will be returning their video cards/stop buying them real soon.

I hope so, because mine is starting to get somewhat outdated. Working with a GTX 970 here.

Here's a simple solution to everyone wanting to buy the game using crypto currencies:
1. Sell ~$20 worth of crypto for real money.
2. Use that money to buy the game.
After all, if it's a real currency then it should be convertible.

The payment processor does risk analysis
to prevent fraud
cc fraud is a HUGE problem.
He might be already be blocked by the payment processor which is why he needs the crypto payments so he can not be verified
