Love this game and hope it continues on.
Some ideas:
Make it a lot easier on Eves. One possibility: They have special powers that make their health drain much slower, or something else more interesting.
Tips after you die. What would be great are little gifs showing off how to do certain things. Possibly adjustable per player, if you can track whether they've never done something show them something they've never done.
I think one of the reason that this game isn't getting much press/youtube videos is that it lacks -timing-, there aren't many -events-. The apocalyse was an event, and it got attention, but it also pissed people off, and it was a one time thing.
Here's a possibility: Release content as normal, but also save some unreleased non-crucial bits. Put "Pandoras Boxes" over the map. Opening the boxes requires a key, and may unlock a new piece of content to exist in the game. It may also unleash a mini-apolcaypse, like a large part of the map being cleared, diseases, fires, ice ages, a flood of bears, etc etc.

Honestly, what I think would help the new user experience, is simply more artistic appeal. This game has intense artistic appeal, and it's lovely. However, even more would make the newbies stick around; I think the gameplay is deep enough for new players, and the concept of others having to teach you is lovely.

RANDOMLY GENERATED PEOPLE.
The whole idea of a unique life is lessened when there are so few character types.
Would it be possible to divide the characters into parts (eyes, mouth, skin, hair) that are randomly assembled when you spawn?
Then add a whole bunch more options for all those parts!
Could weight based on how full you are also be a thing?
Awesome idea dude! There are already parts for the current pre - created people, so why aren't they mixed up? Not male parts with female parts of course, but maybe at least in the appearance?
