OHOL for Mobile - Beta on iOS & Android Now!!

We are getting pretty close to a viable release for iOS and Android, but it would be very valuable to try it out with more players before we go live. So we are asking for volunteers to try out a beta version starting in roughly a week from today (give or take a few days).
We will be distributing the beta version through Apple's TestFlight system, so for this test you will only be able to use iOS devices, I'm afraid. (minimum recommendations: iPhone 5s; iPad3; iPad mini2)
If you are interested, I will need to send you an invite through TestFlight, and for that I need your email addresses. You can send a message privately using the forum's email function.

Hope there's a lot of interest. Answer with any additional questions you might have.

It’s more work, but if there are a lot of people like you guys, then we should probably see if we could make the beta available also on Android. No promise though at this time. There’s only two of us working on this project

Definitely. We haven’t solved security yet though and Android is inherently much less secure than iOS. We figured we could run beta test earlier if we just went with iOS first and let Android wait until we had security in place. But there is value in numbers, so if there are many willing beta testers on Android, we would need to have that in mind too.

The OHOL player base seems to be strongest in the US, and iOS is very strong there compared to the rest of the world. This also played a part in our planning.

Any chance an iPhone 4S might be good enough? I'd love to test but that's all I've got for iOS. I can test Android when that's ready though!

Edit: Derp, apparently I have an iPhone 6 that I thought was a 4S. Could have sworn it was a lot older than that! Anyway I'd love to test and will be sending you a PM with my email.

Latest update from Jason was incorporated into the mobile version today. Had to knife my own children to verify that the new medicine would work correctly. Gruesome job, this... should have had some Santan bots to knife instead

It's not very complicated, but not self-evident either. Here are the steps:

1. Send me your email address. I will enter it into Apple's system on our side. The email address can be your Apple ID, but it doesn't have to be (according to Apple). You can send it privately using the 'Email' link below my user name.
2. Download a free app called TestFlight from the Appstore. Apple makes this app and uses it to distribute beta versions of other iOS apps. (Note that Apple requires that you are at least 13 years old to use TestFlight)

When we have the beta version ready, we will enable it for testing. The TestFlight server will then send invitation emails to all the email addresses we have given it.

3. When you get the email from TestFlight, open the email on your iOS device and follow the link. The TestFlight app will then open and will give you the choice to install One Hour One Life for Mobile.

Whenever we update the beta version, you will be able to download the new version by opening TestFlight and choosing Update for our app.

Looks like the iOS beta should go live in the first half of next week. We will then try to get an Android version out a few days after that. Stay tuned, and keep sending me your email addresses, so you can get the invite once the beta is live.

For now, just post that you’re interested in this thread. On iOS we must have email addresses, but on Android there’s a chance that we can just post an apk for downloading. If not, I’ll ask for your email later.
