Re: Testing the tutorial on my wife

yeah also the "stand in fire to warm up" sounds counterintuitive
your temperature wont increase then decrease, it just changes

Playing OHOL optimally is like cosplaying a cactus: stand still and don't waste the water.

Re: Testing the tutorial on my wife

Sooner or later someone will simply write a mod that shows you all the items on the side with tabs like "tools", "food" or even sorted by "age" or "tier" of tech. I believe it will looks somehow similar to current kazetsukai onetech. It's not without reason we got more and more mods like that over time in Minecaft after more and more mods started adding more and more items you can craft and people could not wrap their reads around all the recepies with 1000+ items.
NEI (Not Enough Items)
JEI (Just Enough Items)
WAILA (What Am I Looking At)
TOP (The One Probe)
and so on...

P.S.
I'm currently making an attempt at one Minecraft modpack with over 20,000 items. Even with JEI and countless in-game books explaining crafting... I can hardly remember recepies from 1-2 hours ago, forget 1-2 weeks ago... I get OHOL crafting is "easier" as it takes just two items, but its harder as well as it takes way more steps.

Re: Testing the tutorial on my wife

IMO just make a part two tutorial on how to make fire-  I feel like that would solidify a lot of the basic crafting gameplay

to jasonrohrer: You should guide by image not by text. Player will know how play and do not need turtorial any more. When i learn this game, i use onetech.info.
