Basically a copy of the thread about baby suicide reasons.

We've all been left to die at some point and we've all probably abandoned a baby at some point.

I didn't know gender discrimination was still going on in the game. I thought we all agreed a while back that all babies are precious. Then again, there are a bunch of new players/new forum members.

I think he means bb that instantly bumps repeatedly into backpack or arrow or somesuch. For me it's like 90% probability it's a griefer. Wait your turn, kid.

Ah, that makes sense.

I know we have a lot of new players, and maybe they don't know how to optimize food use yet... but last night I had a son who said "F" every 10 seconds when he was on a balanced temp desert/grassland tile. Is it that hard to only say "F" when the food bell is chiming? I mean, come on!

When people annoy me I get nonverbal sometimes... this was one of those times. I don't trust myself to be constructive. There's too much negativity in the world as it is.

Since he had hair, I ended up taking my newborn daughter south and foraging for a while. I think he died off? My daughter was a much better player.

i don't intentionnaly abandon babies, but if i'm really buzy or almost starving, it happens that i don't interupt what i'm doing immediately to pick it up, i know it can wait 10 seconds, and some take that as a sign i dont want them and run away.
Also since i almost always name my kids, it did happen a couple of times where i had grown up nameless kids that i simply didn't notice i had. (i say almost because i often wait to name my kids a little bit to see if they will stick around or not, usually short before the time they get hair, but it happened that i had several kids at once to manage, and the one that got his hair started to go away for work and never came back to ask for a name and i simply forgot in all the activity around, but that doesn't happen very often)

Generally I try to avoid baby abandonment if I can, but if I feel the food can't sustain the population increase or if we're out exploring really far from the settlement and I know the food nearby is very little on the return trip I prioritise my survival, I might try and look around a bit and see if there's a cluster of food nearby I can stop at until the baby is grown though first but that ends up being all down to luck.

I'll abandon a baby if they're being rude/racist/a general asshole, if your first words are 'fuck u mom' or a slur I'm gonna second guess keeping that kid.

I would also abandon baby's who didn't listen to "Stay on this tile, best temp" or just keep spamming "F!" when I know I have feed them before so they couldn't have two bars left.

Can you elaborate on the whole abandoning boys thing. Do you straight up refuse to raise any boy no matter what or do you make exceptions in the right circumstances?
Do you also suicide everytime when your a boy, even if your mother wants to keep you?

2.) Baby is rude.

If a baby point at a weapon, it is a griefer. Baby showing clothes try to make you understand that you should clothes him.

Especially if it’s a kid pointing at a weapon but they’re too young to pick it up — almost definitely going to be a griefer.

Eve and trying to find new place.
Baby is rude.
Baby runs around constantly instead of staying in perfect temp.

Especially satisfying to kill rude babies who calls me names. (This game has hardened my heart!)
I carry them far away and they don't jump off in time and they run into town and just a few tiles away from soft hearted people. So sad!

When a baby calls me names I don't care of his rudeness. He will work for the society or die. Good moms took me when I was rude were the best moms, I always work hard for them.

Rude babies grow up with guilt and are cools. The few keep being rude die stab.

If they run around im just not going to feed them. They should know better than to leave their only source of food to go bug some random baker.

Well sometimes in bigger places I will raise some boys, they can smith and such, but they can't continue line survival.
Imo the goal is to get the longest line you can, girls make babies, boys don't.

Food is wasted on boys if theres not much, because most babies are dumb and when they grow up and get hair they say 'I'll help' then don't eat enough and die. Or die to snakes or boars.. or whatever. The less boys the more resources saved, bigger girl survival chance and bigger chance that line continues.

And yes, I suicide as a boy usually, though sometimes I load too slow and mom is already keeping me; then I grow and try to help a bit before suiciding.
