Can cursed be purple please? I'm already tired of the phrase "The black guy is bad" in the cursing thread.
Orange, Green, Blue, those are fine too. Labels should avoid traditional race based colors.

I think the black part mostly symbolizes darkness and evil. Symbolism like that was around before white people came into contact with black people, wasn't it?

But I do get the problem. It's up to Jason, and I know if he sees people are bothered by that he will think about it for sure.

Well, the person isn't black.

Their speech bubble is black. And not skin tone black (aka, brown), but night-black. Dark cloud black.

I think it will be clear when you see it in the game, and not interpreted as race.

There is already a major issue with racists in this game. We don't need to add symbolism that enforces that.

As much as I appreciate how thought out this is-- it is really over-thought out.

But do note by the same logic by having speech bubbles be black text on a white back-ground-- would Jason be progressing systemic racism by adhering to the comic bubble as 'normal'? Honestly the answer is no. The speech bubble has a very long history with humanity and honestly I don't see the validity in this connection. But of course- the US has a lot of fucking stupid people in it who may have such a mis-guided over-think .

But- Jason, if you are worried about re-enforcing dark-stigma in our unfortunately dumb-ass world- maybe make 'cursed' people's speech bubbles be a dark crimson red color- something close to blood.
