What are you talking about?

What I'm talking about is OP is going into towns and stabbing folk with little to no heads up.

subria wrote:

Hm. I have just tried. We can kill murder with knife while he run. I will test with arrow again.

This test he had prepared a sterile pad and needle/thread to heal the person stabbed. But he said that he was going to stab someone and needed me to heal them, i forget if he told me to kill him after but after he was staggered he kept going on about a video and not being able to stab someone while they're moving. Obviously i stabbed him while he was running because this isn't the first time I've shot/stabbed a moving player.

Here is the Family tree for that character: http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=494653

The second time I encountered Subria was in this life where he was playing as Steve. http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … _id=495218

This time around i saw someone running around with a knife so I told my mom. She told me he was doing some testing and i already knew it was him again. I ran after him and told him to stop, being a child my character limit was limited. Then he stabbed me. I ran to the main area of the town and got healed up and went after him again. This time he had just killed a sheep, not sure if he was trying to stab the guy in the pen or not. I told him to stop going around and griefing because at the end of the day you are just randomly stabbing people in hopes to "test" in a live environment. I.e, i told him to stop being butt mad because he was wrong about his theory and then he stabbed me again, but this time we didn't have the supplies to heal me.

Long story short, do your testing in a controlled environment and actually have someone who HAS a bow and arrow on the ready to shoot at you while you are running instead of randomly running around stabbing people.

This is my record file.

I am Faris. When my mom 60 years old. I kill her by knife and Michaela chase me. She can not attack me with knife. Then I bring a bow and arrow for her. She still miss and she shot her baby.

I think, we only can kill griefer if they stay or they run around us (very close). If they run to hide, we can not kill them.

You can curse him if you don't like this behaviour and ask others to do so.

BTW. I've asked about practice weapons, but Jason didn't feel like implementing them.  You can voice your opinion here:

Actually I had a chance to test it today.  Had a griefer with knife and I had knife as well.  Really hard to stab him on slowdown.  I've put down knife 2-3 times, but replay shows that I've been right clicking in the middle of murderer.  Finally stabbed innocent bystander instead of murderer.  I've already mailed my replay to Jason and reported it here:

Excuse me for my lack of believing you, but i'll verify when today's public data is updated. Maybe it was an impersonator and maybe I'm just mad at the fact that it happened. If the logs show its not you I'll apologize for the finger pointing.

The only time I've had an issue with stabbing someone who was on slowdown is when they're passing through a tile that a bystander is also standing on. Think of the baby pile next to the firepit. When you go to pick up a baby you will pick up the bottom baby. It's been awhile since i've ran into that issue though, but maybe it's the call stack or whatever you call it when you use RMB on that tile.

As for running out in the open while staggered i havent had that issue and was able to stab Subria fairly easy while he was running.

He was in clear until the final accident.

I think murderer on slowdown should be prioritized there.

I don't kill often.  But when I want to, I miss more often than I hit.  Heck, most griefers that I've dealt with actually starved before I was able to stab or shoot them.

Yes kubassa, I got it that you hate griefer's nerfs.  You don't need to post it in every thread.  WOW get a life dood, stop griefing.

Checked the log this morning and you were telling the truth that you were not Steve, so I apologize for pointing my finger at you and getting all butt hurt about it.

I can see in the log you had three kills, oddly enough it doesn't count you as killing Cindy in the log file. Instead if has it chalked up to old age even though the lineage shows you killed her. Might be an override for the old age.

Where the other person i'll just refer to as Steve had five total kills, three as Steve and two other as an Unnamed.

Last Wednesday Jason posted this Thread with a link to the publicLifeLog file which contains Birth/Death stats for each day/server along with the names of each playerID.

My method of processing the data was with Excel because i didn't want to build anything too fancy, but if you do use excel you'll have to set up a processor or i can send you a copy of my Template. The reason why it'll need processing is due to data in columns 5 and up showing in the wrong spots.

Serial griefer that would specifically kill folks from the Family Tree. Took me a minute to realize that this was on server two instead of server one.

Re: Griefer report

some bullshit in here: you can prevent people from suicide, babies cant do much in a closed door or a fence or even behind a grave
one baby wanted suicide cause wanted to get back to city where she died
told her cant go back and revenge is stupid, she stayed
they can still quit but if they hear you out it might change their minds

you cant differentiate between abandonment and suicide, but lot of times you are too busy
and you think you are safe
i made a pretty good camp on a good spot andi went old, my dauhter died, we had a lot of food around, and she was already 6
i hade 3 more daughters and didnt care by that time cause i wanted a good spot, i didnt even seen until the family tree
i abandoned one cause i had to made sure one got raised, was a wrong choice
they pay attention to everything they see, lot of them are sensitive to the name, to the talking to the garbage around

people who suicide right away are assholes, at least wait 5 sec, to hear your mom out
suiciding because name, because gender is stupid

but if you dont put them on safe place you are the stupid, it annoys me already when someone tries to juggle us on green biome
make a fire or find a desert and wait kids to ask for feeding

killing penalty is already too bad
when i could kill someone in a duel, but someone else picks up weapon and kills me on slowdown, while wouldnt stand a chance with no slowdown
and biggest reason is gear
so if someone tries to kill you and you kill them and anyone sees it, you are pretty sure dead and it doesnt matter if you are right or wrong, they just kill you

so be prepared and one person cant kill all city, if he can, then you deserve it

How can I prepare?  I've been going after this guy with a knife.  I put down knife 3 times instead of hitting him, despite replay showing that I was right clicking in the middle of murderer on slowdown.  Somebody else could not hit him at the same time with a bow.  It wasn't the case that the whole town was ignoring him or had no weapons to defend - he was actively chased.

He is probably exploiting some glitch or bug in aiming code.  And the only way to learn that and practice fighting in OHOL at a scale is to become griefer yourself.  But if everybody have to become griefer to fight them, it kind of defeats the purpose.

I proposed one way to fix that, but Jason didn't think that's important:

Re: Griefer report

Scorp I killed my first moving person on Sunday. The first time I put the knife down because I aimed at him. The second time I aimed for the tile that he was moving to and I got him. At full speed I have no idea how anyone could manage that but I got them while they were slowed. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I'll try that.  But at slowdown just aiming at him directly should be enough IMO.  And I wasn't the only person having this problem, so maybe he is doing something that makes it harder to hit him.  At 4th attempt I killed somebody else who was crossing his path.  He managed to kill 8 people this run - he was on friggin cooldown half of his adult lifetime FFS.

I think its a matter of knowing which tile the game actually recognizes him on at the moment of stabbing. I've stabbed/shot several during their slowdown and typically I have to judge which tile the game might recognize him to be on, typically like Xan said it's the tile hes moving to.

The issue with clicking right on a slowdown player that is moving is that the way slowdown is coded you might just be clicking on an animation/transition and not an actual object which would cause you to drop the knife or accidentally stab someone else.

That's just my uneducated guess though.

I watched the replay again.  I did click ahead of him second time - still put down the knife.  In fact when I've stabbed innocent bystander, it was griefer's description shown at the bottom, not hers.

Is is possible that tiles with items on them interfere with stabbing?
