The forums are crazy.

1) Mothers who keep all their children should be stabbed
2) Mothers who abandon their children should get bears

Abandoned in a city, do as you please. All i ask is take it easy on early civs that abandon you. Gen 1-6 can be a bitch unless you get lucky with some seasoned helpers which is getting rarer and rarer now.

To be honest I had a life where I was born over and over to a mum as a boy, just to be abandoned. When I was born as a girl she called me Hope and told me I was her only kid, so I ran and bear-ed out of shear meanness. It felt good.

Yeah I do feel you on this one. I disagree with the whole "girls are better than boys" thing. Sure if you are in very specific circumstances that's true. But most of the time boys make the best worker bees.

Still, I don't think its advisable to keep all your kids most of the time. Too many mouths starves everyone.

IMO there should be autocomplete. How long you need to stare at somebody to get the spelling of AALIYAHROSE LEHOUILLIER II, GETHSEMANE GOICOECHEA IV or OGHENERUONA ALBUQUERQUE III right?

I kid you not, that are allowed names. Bonus points if you can curse them while they're chasing you with the knife.

Yes. Whatever generates the best stories is the right choice. Mother of ten stabbed to death is a good story.

I've only been playing for three days, but I'm already of the mind that this game isn't about minmaxing, but making great stories.
