I'm currently using a laptop with unubtu 16.04 on it and I'm VERY new to Linux. I currently haven't been able to get the game to run at all, and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing.
Could anyone that knows how to get the game to run on Linux walk me through the steps? (If you need any additional info I'd be happy to let you know)
Edit: I'm running 64bit
Edit: Trying to run the client, not server.
Edit: Solution at this site http://onehouronelife.com/compileNotes.php?nocounter=1. Be sure to use the UnixSource download!

What have you done so far? Have you run the script to get all of the files needed? Did you read the stickied post in this forum on setting up a server?
After you have done those things, there is more documentation in your directory that have now downloaded. Go to OneLife/documentation. Read the file called EditorAndServerBuildNotes. That has a few steps that are used to build the server. You can skip the client and editor parts.

If you run it in the terminal, it will tell you if there are any errors. Typically you need to instal the 32bit sdl libraries. Get on the discord server in the #ask-for-help channel and we can help.

Zeromus, he's not running the server, just the game.

I forgot to mention that I am simply trying to run the client, not a server. That's possible correct?
