It's a lot simpler to not do this, but to add an annoying layer of realism to OHOL a system could be put in place wherein
if a person does not have the stomach size that is equal or greater to their food's nutrition they either
1. cannot eat it (bad idea) or 2. eat is slowly (maybe four to six times longer than current eating).
I bring this up for no particular reason.
Just food for thought.. if you can stomach it. (sorry)

Or if you use less than half the calories it is only partially eaten, like the potato > half baked potato.
Leftovers!

Yeah... this is really a problem and I’ve seen a lot of kids take advantage of their abilities to eat pie and stew to grief. But then again, in some Eve camps, we only have omelettes. What if Eve is about to turn forty and only has one female, which is her baby, unable to eat the only food source nearby? Same could apply to big towns in a famine, having run out of compost or well water, leaving all the berry bushes languishing. Kids won’t be able to eat pies or stew because of the restrictions.
The second suggestion is definitely better, I think it would be a win-win for all camps.

NO. It would make it too hard to troll everyone eating food when you don't have to.
I got huge ballz.
