Roads leading to War?

Is it just me, or does it seem like ever since they added roads, the number of people randomly murdering other people has increased.  I was visiting a neighboring town in one life (my baby asked me to bring her there) when someone decided to stab me and said "the war has begun".  I find it very frustrating that 1.) people can kill other people, and 2.) once you are wounded, you can't do anything.  I find the game less enjoyable now with the increase in random PvP.  :-(

You need two people when you travel and a medpack so you can be healed. Also, bring weapons.

Re: Roads leading to War?

So what does this say about the "social experiment" side of this game?  What was once a heartwarming game of working together to advance the village, it has taken an ugly turn.  And maybe the lesson we learn is that like my husband said, "people suck".

Wow! Have we entered the midevil age!
Squire fetch me my carrot shield smile
Would be great if we did have some item we could hold to prevent being stabbed or shot. Not equipped.... That would just make murderers invincible.

Re: Roads leading to War?

Anytime cities are/were close or multiple families lived together there has been violence. You are likely never going to see a war on the sort of numbers we had back in the day due to lineage ban I can remember a war between multiple cities lasting multiple hours. People were literally just having kids to send them between villages to stab each other. Though I think that's the only time I've seen myself have a thirteenth cousin in game.

Re: Roads leading to War?

I don't really think it has much to do with the roads

Re: Roads leading to War?

Maybe has to do with the average distance between eave spawns being squarerooted since the road update.(I think that's what Jason said)

Re: Roads leading to War?

Game was better before the apocalypse.

Nah murders didn't increase, it stay stable, it even reduces over time. Few killers are hard workers who choose to be mean for once, and there are the others serial murderers (aka the cry baby) cause they are bad at the game and they flame very badly, they look like 2 y/o.

Real knife masters such as me are able to keep villages and towns in hostage and be their king. This asks way more skills.
