Suggestion: Babies should cry everytime when starving

What if the baby cries automatically only when it has 2 food bars left? This way the mother knows when to pick it up and feed him/her.
Why would we need this if we already have the F chat trick? Not all players know that they need to say F when starving and would make it easier for both mothers and babies. I hate spamming F every time I need food as a baby.

You cry for a short period of time after you spawn as a baby. The strange thing is that you are not crying even when you are almost dead from starving.

The idea would be to cry every time a baby is starving, this way the mother will know when to pick-up the baby and feed him/her. This way the babies would not need to say F.

Babies can only DO one thing: talk. If you implement this then babies will just be a mandatory boring 3 minutes to all concerned. I've also seen moms have problems when babies cry nonstop because they may be starving or just asking for a pack or something trivial.
Maybe the starving twang would be louder for kids young enough to breastfeed though! That would be nice.

Babies cry when they speak at the one letter stage, so they cry when they say "F".
This is outgrown at the two letter stage because by then you can baby-talk "HI", "OK", "TY", etc.

i rather find it annoying that babies arent crying anymore as soon as they reach two letters... as long as they cant fend for themselves, they should cry when they speak

honestly this is a good idea- if i'm off working, it helps to get pulled back by crying-- and to prevent wasting food points when babies arent hungry

Yes it's a boring 3 minutes, and with me as you mom in a busy time for the village- you'd do us all a favor to go AFK for a few min and take your pee break

Because you can't hear their speech bubble if you are working off screen from babies.

I came back to many a baby corpse because i couldn't hear them, and they didn't come looking for me

Thats exactly the type of "DRAMA" Jason loves.

Do you work now or do you raise your kid? Or maybe you teach your kid to follow you? Or maybe you move kid around? Or just stick to jobs that can be done in one place?

IMO thats not a problem that needs new feature but problem that payers have to solve on their own.

Maybe try and work near them ? Also when in a city, there are enough other females that pass by and will feed your kid, even some guys or grandmother will feed them berries and such.

If there are no other females around, I usually count the first minute to ten and then later to twenty. Usually if the baby is on a warm tile, they can be left alone the first seconds for 5 seconds, then 10 and then 20.

When I am working near it, lets say at the forge, and I totally lost track of how many seconds passed and the baby doesn't say "F", at that point it's just natural selection for it.

Saying "F" to signal that you need to be fed is the first step to communicate with the players you will be spending (hopefully) one hour with them. I prefer to feed babies who are willing to stay and be patient these three minutes and say "F" than silent babies who only scream to say they are starving. I am still marked from the Silent-and-turns-out-to-be-cursed babies ^^
