The most hardcore item in game.

Pork tacos and how to get em.

In a good setup you got to have acces to:

*Water
-slacked lime takes two bowls
-corns one

*Corn
-preferably more than four spots (includes soil, water, hoe/skewer)
-bowls for making corn cernels for piggies and masa dough
-flint for seeding and making the corn cernels

*Limestone
-a forge to transform it to quicklime
-two bowls of water to transform it to slacked lime

*Piggies
-pen (shovel, stone, stakes and something to fill up the holes)
-bowls of corn cernels for hungry piggies to eat
-bow and arrow to slay momma pig and snatch the wild piglet (careful with boar snipe!)
-knife to slay dem piggies

*Flat rocks
-few for flattening the masa dough to raw tortillas
-one for cooking the tortillas

*Fire
-coals for cooking the limed corn
-coals for cooking the carnitas
-flat rock on coals to cook the tortillas

*Other
-plates to stack cooked tortillas
-long straight shaft for flattening tortillas
-sharp stone for everything.(making the, flint, long straight shaft, stakes, firetools, bow and arrow, basket for hauling, food for the nomad phase, home marker...)

Hard push the pork taco to the world!

Maybe someone with skills can make a good map on porkpost, i lack the skills/patience

btw pork taco setup supports doggo breeding too.

Re: The most hardcore item in game.

It's only really the MOST hardcore of items because nobody keeps pigs, with pigs being more than useless, bad actually for there environment.  Newbs and Pros, if you're seeing this and want a challenge, do the same but with beans, please, or maybe just make a wolf crown:)

Re: The most hardcore item in game.

None of the onces you mentioned requires so much tech and hard labour than pork tacos.

"nobody keeps pigs" Also this is the reason why you hard push pork tacos

Re: The most hardcore item in game.

The thing about pork tacos is they aren't even remotely worth the amount of effort it takes to make them. If you were gonna go through all those steps you're better off just making bean burritos. Six burritos per plate, nineteen pips per bite AND you can store them in baskets/backpacks/aprons.

Hell I would even say that the fact they help breed dogs in the current state makes them even worse off until dogs are fixed.

The reason no one would keep pigs before is the fact they led to massive bowl griefing before the fix to dump pork out and that their bones never decayed. I was so happy when the pig update came out but there hasn't ever been a reason to keep pigs since day one (except pig aprons/boar aprons.)

You know what's harder than all of these?  Making a railroad track that is actually Useful.

(In all seriousness, has this ever been done?)

Re: The most hardcore item in game.

As of currently you don't use long railroads because it's so costly and nothing really needs to be moved far distances. Short railways out of a sheep pen to a bakery or out for a dumping ground is pretty good use for them at the moment. It's nice being able to both move a basket a bones out while the mutton goes where it is supposed to.

As of right now that's probably their only use but I do set these kind of things up when the pen pits aren't filled with garbage.

Railroad town had three lines, two of which I've never seen.

Sheep pen to bakery - Mutton to bakery & returns pies to pen -

Sheep pen to animal grave yard - Sheep bones to animal graveyard & returns empty baskets.

Bakery to smith - Pies to smith - smith returns empty plates, new plates, bowls & sends springs to oven, to be returned later.

I loved that place, even though I had to repair the rails + carts every other life due to griefers.

Yeah, it was a nice place. I just think there is still room for optimization.
