Give me an emoticon.

I would like to have an emoticon to express my feelings. Ohol is a game played by players from various countries and players who are not good at English are difficult to participate in conversation. I hope to use emoticons by clicking on the smiling face and showing the smiling face in the text box. Is there any place to deploy ui? Allow Zoom mode function to be used in basic game. Ohol's field of vision is too narrow now and its characters and objects are too big. The monitor people use these days is very big, Jason.

Re: Give me an emoticon.

You can always make emote notes. Basically when reading a note out loud the starting character is always : so you can make things such as

: D
: P
: C
: L
: O
(No need to actually space when writing in game, only posted a space on the boards to prevent converting faces into emoticons.)
And etc. Obviously it's a bit of work but my favorite note was the big_smile a baby!!!! note I made and would flash at babies.

fug it’s Tarr.

Re: Give me an emoticon.

Why do you want the face to appear in the box? Wouldn't it be much more immersive to have the expression appear on the face of your character?

Of course I want more movement and facial expressions if possible. What I want is those little emotional expressions. But isn't it hard for Jason to make faces by age with so many characters in Ohol?

Of course you can make faces with the alphabet. I know.
But what I want is a more diverse emotional expression. For example, thanks, or I'll borrow it for a minute.

Re: Give me an emoticon.

I would love to have facial expressions in the game.

But the problem is that each character's face-art is hand-drawn and unique.  There are already 14 characters.  If we wanted even 2 facial expressions (angry and laughing), I'd have to draw 28 faces.  And what about expressions for old people or babies?  Some babies get different mouths when they grow up.  All old people get different mouths.  So that blows up even more.

And I'm planning to have 100 characters eventually....

I could have one "laughing mouth" and one "angry mouth" and just use it on everyone (replace their mouth for a bit) ad also have one angry old mouth and one laughing old mouth.  But mouths aren't currently tagged in the engine.  I'd have to change that.

I could also add angry eyebrows.  I just worry that they won't look good on every face.

Yes! Different face parts lead not only to emotions but genetics as well!
By separating the character parts they can be swapped around leading to all sorts of unique characters.
I'm still looking forward to 100 different base types, but mix them up and you have thousands!
AWESOME cool

It's a little comprehensive, but I think eyebrows are very nice, too.
I'm afraid I can't see well because of hat or hair. And you don't have to change your mouth shape because your character's face is unique.

Thanks for listening to my proposal, Jason.

Re: Give me an emoticon.

By the way, what about learning English though? The game was meant for an English-speaking playerbase, after all. I assume if you have enough time to play this game, then you can probably learn the language.

(I'm not a native speaker, by the way, I'm French and living in France)

Re: Give me an emoticon.

Do NOT use this game to learn English.  People here use all sorts of crazy slang (Ty for thank you) and it would just be confusing to learn English from here, the game would have to get big enough for multiple different language servers for it to be language compatible.  (It would be nearly impossible for languages like Japanese)

Re: Give me an emoticon.

Yeah. I suggest games that have npc storytelling or such ( for example Runescape for npcs who have monologues which you can read at your own pace)

If you ever enter Pea (Helkama turns into random name) family, you need the lottery ticket picked up. My baby names given can be absolutely random.

Re: Give me an emoticon.

I'd be more in favour of something simpler like emojis in a text bubble rather than facial expressions
