Okay, what are the elusive Useful Updates that this game needs?
Simple machines.
A screw - for an auger, or drill so we can make wells away from ponds, and deeper mining so we aren't beholden to on the surface iron veins. Or you know, screws.
Bridges - roads should go over and under around and through.
Ocean biome - we can't walk on water, but we could build boats to float across it.
Rapid transit - ya that's super high tech, but it gives us something to build towards. Flight maybe?
Dirigibles take you from one airport to another in a distant land. Make those bell towers air traffic control towers!
What else?
Offline
-Edible cows.
-More stew.
-Babies in carts.
-Food is always a welcome addition.
-More crops are always fun.
-A less griefable fencing option with the removal of pit pens
-clothing options
-handcuffs
-sand (and all that entails)
-everyone poops update... seriously why do sheep have a monopoly on this
-covered wagons to facilitate migration.
There are tons of QOL updates too
-removable flat stone floors.
-removeable chests
-removeable rose bushes
-removeable graves

And why dose milkweed have a monopoly on rope?

-Fix duplicating ice holes
-Add use for worms.
-Add use for dogs
-Make pigs useful (feeding another useless animal =/= useful)
-Make dogs + puppies actually despawn (only shot pitbulls and German Shepherds despawn)
-Killable semi-tame/old wolves.
-Make semi-tame at least skinable like a domestic mouflon
-Corner/round tracks so railways can be something other than straight lines.
-Bunny hatch/domestic bunnies (why did we get meme ass dogs before something like this.)
-Food system balance overhaul
Fun update ideas
-More colored dyes
-Different clothes to dye
-New potato recipes
-Any new food recipes (unless you make pork taco 2.0)
-Book covers/bindings
fug it’s Tarr.

In addition to the suggestions above, I would really like to have linen clothes. Growable flax turned into linen would add some sort of base clothing that is not fur and wool.

+1 TART for da win i wanna eat worms!! Jason let us eat worms

Anything to free up clutter. This includes more stackable items (iron bars, seeds, crops), better storage options (food barrels, silos), moveable/decomposable animal corpses, etc.
Seriously, my favorite update by far was when plates, bowls, steel ingots, and baskets became stackable. I was amazed by how much more productive it seemed to make towns.

We need stoves and pots and frying pans so that we can cook stew and eggs more easliy. they can be made out of flat rocks or cut stone. Also there can be a stone oven that does not require it to cool down for pies and bread.
Offline
Furniture perhaps. Tables, Desks, Shelves for storage. Maybe let us craft on the tables too. Chairs for decoration and maybe a temporary food buff.

More stacks yes please ;w; So far the last few updates legit the most thing I've been excited for have been new stacks. Yeah tree farming, dogs, etc. are cool... but stacks though???
-Has ascended to better games-
Offline
Stepwells as a higher level tech for water.
Offline
quick updates:
buff to hunting, as in, seals, boars and mouflon all capable of being cooked on a spit (worse than butchering)
as tarr said, a use to worms and more to pigs (I like the idea of draining their fat)
more animal byproducts and ancient chemistry
complex/game balancing updates
More biomes with basic resources. It kills me that this game has mostly a single meta. Takes a lot of the "every life is unique" feel.
stuff like branches, water, rope and/or soil should not exist in a single biome, otherwise this one biome would always be needed.

Ocean biome - we can't walk on water, but we could build boats to float across it.
We should be able to cross water with varying movment-speed penalties.
The ocean biome should contain 2 different levels of fordable areas and one deep-zone, where only swimming is possible, but at the highest cost to both speed and temperature.
IT PUTS ÞE BERRY IN ÞE BASKET OR ELSE IT GETS ÞE HOSE AGAIN !

I already wanted it a long time ago, and I asked for it in this forum ... and now I still want it: transport for several players
Windmills:
start of electricity and advanced mechanics
irrigation channels:
the irrigation canals will take away the work of boring irrigation of the fields of berries

All animals should have the option to be edible.
Yes, even humans.
Give us one human flesh per grave. It hurts you 5 points and changes your text to black for 10 years.
Ofcourse, unused flesh would despawn quite fast.
This would be fun.

I am Eve Raven. If not, I will name my babies after flying creatures. Or ridiculous and long names like Oluwadunmininu.

We need to be able to tell when women hit menopause, their hair needs to turn noticeably gray at 40.
These two are the worst offenders of baby starving:

Raw Beef + sliced carrot (sharp rock / knife alone in bowl) + chopped onion (sharp rock / knife alone in bowl ) in crock = beef vegetable stew.
And make onions farmable.
Alternately, use corn kernels in place of onion. Or beans.
Or just use both recipes. I mean, only having one possible stew recipe kinda sucks. Let's expand the menu!
One person can easily destroy what has taken dozens of people to build. And they don't see anything wrong with it. They like to do it even. They fiercely defend their right to destroy. They'll do whatever it takes to get around any measures in place to prevent them from doing so.
What we do when there are no real consequences to our actions makes a rather sad statement about human nature.

Or maybe let it result with insane face?
And of course, suggestion from my signature
