I think all of the current biomes exept badlands should be livable, and some form of water other than ponds would rock!

liveable or sustainable? sorry if I seem repettive, I've been giving way too much thought to it

Re: [Disc] Biomes that you suggest

Like to the point where you could build a good base without a swamp or grasslands, but if you wanted to get higher tech you would have to expand to other biomes, so more like sustainable than livable.

I just think there should be other ways to survive other than relying on the swamp (and forest), throughout most of the game.

i'd say what you described is more about liveable than sustainable, because if the population got too big we'd have to get higher tech so no biomes could actually sustain development alone.

I definitely agree that we should have more options, my point is we gotta think really well how we present this idea to Jason. I mean, if we could cook seals and other animals in fires we'd already make ice and badlands more liveable (although you'd still need soething to justify settling on cold, but i think oil in the late game could be a nice addition). But if we still need grass for rope and kindling early we'll remain in need of grass every single time. Maybe if there was a biome with twigs that you could turn into kindling without tools and some other way to get rope we'd get this metashift we all desire.

More advanced water physics are really crucial in a civilization building game.
Water and how it is managed is everything when it comes to creating civilization as it is virtually the foundation for all life.

I'm not sure how some requested features like irrigation and oceans would work but I'd like alternate water sources. I keep thinking that rivers could have a base non-ugradable water regen but also be used in the future for hydroelectrical power.
