Is it supposed to do something? I originally got a bad gateway the first time I tried to link my account to steam followed by a successful link but I'm not seeing anything on steam for myself.
Edit: error message in question.

I managed to start it on steam, practiced a bit of smithing in tutorial area. Do you need to test anything else on steam?

I'm getting the 400 bad request on my first try: clicked my link, logged into Steam, greeted with it.
FWIW, my Steam and OHOL license email are different addresses (but using a similar Steam integration system, https://rimworldgame.com/getmygame/ in the past worked fine despite different email addresses there, too so I doubt that's the problem).

No problem here activating the game on Steam. I was able to play through the tutorial, but when I died of starvation at 58 it wanted me to restart the tutorial. Is that because I never lit the torch? I was trying to get through to the end and break out... but I'm not a very good smith, so it took me a while. While in there, I saw someone else moving around the end area of the tutorial, cut my way in, and said hello.

I'm having the exact same problems here
It failed the first time and when I went to try again it stated that I had already unlocked the game on Steam, although I don't see it on my library.
Offline
I have the same issue as SirCaio, possibly because I had it shorted cutted to steam before trying to link it. Removed short cut from steam, logged out and back in. Tried to link it again, says I already have the game unlocked and not in my library.

Errgg....
So it's working for some people, but not everyone.
Seems like that error handling needs to be improved, at least.
The problem is that it makes a record for you on my Steam server, even if the unlock doesn't work correctly. This is not a smart thing for it to do....
Offline
Okay, those of you who had it fail one time, please try again.
It now checks ownership on Steam before blocking your second unlock attempt.
Now, as for what's causing the 400 error for some people....
Offline
It lets me re-try now but I still can't get it on steam I get the "HTTP/1.0 400 Bad Request" over and over.
Offline
FYI, all the failed requests are using ipv6 addresses.
It may be that Steam no like.
Offline
Yes, ipv6 is the problem.
Steam only accepts ipv4 for GrantPackage.
Looking now for a way to convert or find your ipv4 address.
Offline
Okay....
This is fixed now.
Two things:
1) I turned ipv6 off in my DNS record. So, hopefully, everyone will connect via ipv4 from now on. This may take a while to propagate, and seems like a step backward, but Valve will do what Valve will do here.
2) In the mean time (before the DNS change propagates), I put a work-around in place for ipv6 addresses. I send my server's IP to Valve instead, to make them happy. I don't think they're doing anything with this address anyway. We'll see what happens, but it seems to be working for now.

Yep that worked for me. Thanks Jason!

Worked great for me, Lived my first life on the steam version http://lineage.onehouronelife.com/serve … id=1271801
One weird thing was that the playtime wasn't working, It tells me I've only played for a minute despite living a full life.

I didn't get up early enough to play a game before work but the 400 bad request didn't appear this time and I'm currently downloading through Steam. Thanks for fixing overnight, Jason.

Was game download unusually slow to anybody else?
Offline
Steam download was super slow ( estimated time 22h) then it got faster but still slow.
Offline
It was 62Mb if I recall correctly and it took a few minutes to complete. I ask because usually Steam is ridicolously fast for game downloads, I think I downloaded a 1GB games in same time as OHOL.
Offline
Mine had to wait for all my other Steam games to update first in the queue, so that might be whats causing the delay. Downloading itself was fast.
I was able to unlock and play the game without any issues. The only very minor issue is that I played the tutorial, broke out and freed people until I died at sixty. Then I was reborn and played until 20 when I was eaten by a surprise bear (PLEASE DOUBLE THE DEFAULT VIEW DISTANCE!!!) and Steam has it logged as total playing time = 68 minutes, when it should be 80.
Offline
Remember that as Eve(Tutorial) that you are born at age 14 so it's not a 60 minute life if you die at 60 it's a 46 minute life.
Offline
^ Ah. Makes sense. Thanks! The two bonus minutes must have been from the menu screens.
