Question about milkweeds

Just a question cause there are 101 myths on this game and weither there true or not they say only pick a milkweed when it’s fruiting so as you can get the seeds however you can get shed loads of seeds from one pile so the question is is it relevant to still wait for the milkweed to fruit if you already have a lot of seeds like does it eventually regrow on a timer or is it just another myth to the story XD

Milkweed doesnt grow back anymore. You can pick it at any time now. If you have a ton of seeds it's actually preferred that you dont pick it when it's fruiting.

It's not so much a myth as something that was updated out of the game. Originally milkweed picked in the fruiting stage left a fertile stump that would regrow back in an hours time (this can still be seen on onetech under milkweed stump - fertile.) However now no stage of milkweed regrows and the only use for picking it in the fruitful stage is to produce as many seeds as you want for upwards of ten minutes.

The milkweed regrowth used to be true but no longer.  If you have seeds a plenty pick away.

technically i prefer leaving one milkweed rather than many seeds
now you need 4 milkweed for rope so it's a nice gesture to leave 4 seeds at least, sometimes i see 20+ seeds which just covers a lot of space, best if you just plant in 4x+1, each four makes a rope and last one left for seeds, cause they do decay in a bit

when you want to remove tilled rows, you either plant wheat or milkweed, and is better to pick it non fruiting so it disappears faster this case

Thanks guys that makes it easier instead of standing there waiting for them to grow I must have read an old guide when I was researching about the game but I’ve been told in game a couple of times also so thought I would ask to save myself a bit of time XD

Note that you can burn (it disapear) milkweed seed on a fire.

I would agree, if not for the risk of someone coming and picking it without leaving seeds. It's always nice to have at least a couple seeds around just in case. Having both is always nice.

Usually nice to keep one stump, like pein said but i usually take all other in non-fruiting stages, as their stumps will disappear faster and i'll be able to plant that same field again (can be annoying when all stumps take long to decay)
