Crazy idea...
What if characters started developing visual traits based on what they do in their lifetime? This will allow us to judge each other based on looks, just like in real life!
- Just collect a bunch of clay? You will look dirty.
- Smith a bunch of tools? Here are some muscles.
- Kill a bear? Face paint.
- Build a car? Monocle for you!
- Tending to lots of kids? Bigger boobs.
- Haven't done anything for a while? Loose all visuals.
- Kill someone? /devious face for you. Two? Permanent /devious face.
- On a huge yum bonus? You grow bigger.

I personally like the bless idea.
Help out the town and teach new players and they bless you. In the next life, you have a heavenly glow. So other people know that you know what you are doing and worth your salt.

I think some cross life benefits are in order too but Jason is pretty against them (but we can keep asking!). That's why single life benefits to being productive might be a good trade for now.

Oh, I think this is really cool! There's a saying that you can see his life on his face.

it would be nice to repeat the same behavior more than once.
It would be a little confusing to change your appearance every time you act.
Even if it's a little hard to get, I hope it doesn't change once it's confirmed.
