One small thing. IF you stab a griefer, don't run away. Just state why you stabbed them during the cool down. If I see someone stab and run out of town immediately it's like they don't want to be caught, don't want you to see their name. If you stab and run away, I'm likely to curse you. I will run up and ask why before I curse, and if you don't respond, I curse.
Secondly, I don't think murder is a good punishment. You want to send them to donkey town ideally. If you murder they just go to another town and carry on stupid stuff. If town has enough people, raise awareness, get everyone to curse.
Just had a life where I met a dumb griefer like that,
I saw a girl running back to city with an arrow in her chest, I ran to the direction she came from and looked for the person who shot her, so I could stop them and no more ppl would get killed. Before pulling my knife out, I asked "why did you do this?" I gave them a few seconds but got no anserw, they just kept running. So I pulled my knife out and stabbed them.
Like an idiot the person kept running then once realizing I stabbed them came back to me and said "Ffs it was mistake" Oh really? In the middle of a forest, with no people near, just you and the girl you shot?
I would curse them but already met a griefer in past life so they got lucky. Rip shot girl - looking at the fam tree her last words were big oof.
I sign my ingame notes as Gio or Truz.

I agree. Tell you a story. The town I was in was in horrible shape, the compost cycle didn't work, there lots of bread doughs in the kitchen - since the plates we're all filled and waiting for mutton and the pen full of shorn sheep. Hunger was also a problem. So I go and made a knife. Yes, I admit my error was to make that knife without having a backpack, but that town desperately needed sheep to be cut and bread to made.... So I cut the sheep, I make the bread, and then some stupid women came and stole my knife "for protection"... (yes I had to put it down for eating, since no backpack).. Seriously... then I saw that the had already 2 knifes in her backpack! She was hording them "for security"... while the town suffered of no knifes. Now she had three. Well as I couldn't do much about it, I kept going to her and pestering to do the knife jobs at least, if she already insists of thinking she is the one and only trustworthy player here (btw, seriously???). Well and then like it was asking for trouble a twin pair of real griefers shot her... and there is was nothing I could do about it as the other was looting her backpack. See? She was real pest, and albeit well intended if the intention would be different it would be griefing... taking all knifes, not doing the knife jobs, and in the end "giving" it all to "another" griefer...
Id say the first mistake was whoever feed the twin babies, the second was her not doing those jobs, probably was a new player and had the mindset that knives should never be used cause pvp etc., thats why as someone trying to fill that job you gotta know what you are doing. I said in another comment that holding knives puts you at the top of greifers hit list so if you dont know what you are doing just give them to someone who does.
1,280 pips just by Making Pork Tacos, Possible 2,500 pips just by hunting turkeys, and yet, somehow, yall still eating berries, bruh.

so if you dont know what you are doing just give them to someone who does.
Are basically don't hoard them in the first place regardless how talented you think you are, like everyone here tried to tell you in a nicer or in a more direct manner.

I think the big issue here is weapon concentration. The chance of that person and the other civilians actually living a decent life when one person has all the knives is pretty slim. There’s a lot that could go wrong there. A griefer makes a bow outside of town and kills them? Well, shoot, no one can kill that griefer until Mr. Hoardknife is dead. And no one can heal them, either, since bow wounds require a knife. And what if Mr. Hoardknife is a griefer? Well, that’s no good, is it. Yeah, you could smith a knife of your own, but he’s definitely gonna target you now. You could make a bow out of town, but huge towns have depleted resources and you’d have to go far and encounter wild animals. Even then, what if you kill an innocent person by accident? It’s risky. And the people who NEED those knives, like the shepherd and the baker and the doctor, they won’t be getting work done. The town’s pace will slowly draw to a halt.
Spread weapons out. Give them to people who can use them. Bows for hunters. Knives for shepherds. For bakers. For doctors. For the good of the town, and your curse token.

If someone is hogging all the knives my favorite game to play is to tell them what to do with the knife. till they get sick of it and just give me one.
Hay you have a lot of knives, I need you to cut sheep, bread, oh yeah I'm also making rubber for pumps. So chop chop get to work.
If I have more than one Knife then I play the game of let's see who is not a noob and could need a knife.
Also I try to not have a knife on me when I try to go get iron
Also before you make more knifes check aroun the town limits, ppl thend to go out there and die with full packs that inclulds knifes.

Knife hoarders are easily the lowest of the low in my eyes and put the entire town in danger because of their backwards logic. You don't need 4 knives. You won't be using 4 knives. You're not "protecting" those 4 knives. What you're doing is essentially griefing, and I have no qualm with killing these hoarders if they refuse to hand out their tools to players who'll use them.
Pass them out. Take a minute of your time to observe your village and hand them out to players working. Like Pein said, don't give them to kids or the elderly. Give them to middle-aged players who are working, and spread them out as much as possible. Your 4 knives are a complete waste of space and iron sitting in your backpack. They're tools, not heirlooms.
4 competent players with knives > 1 "hurr durr im helping!!1" player with 4 knives that gets insta-killed by the first noob griefer to roll into town.
