Now that Yum and temp has been fixed being able to have a high yum "score" is more than just about using less food since now the higher the yum bonus the more likely you are to have kids which means villages can compete for prosperity and you have a better chance of reviving dying villages if you put in the effort to eat diverse foods, so you actually have some degree of control on birth probabbility
I tried this a couple of lives and in about 20-40% of them at some point i was fed somehow (sometimes didnt even noticed it) which ruined the yum chain and wasted the effort put on preparing these different foods.
Making being force fed not brake the yum chain would get abused to cheat and gain time until you get new food so it isnt really an option, also it doesnt make sense that if someone else feeds you somehow the food doesnt count
So having a way to stop being force fed or to refuse food would be nice to make the yum mechanic really good, it could be closing the mouth for example or anything else
Exceptions would be in life threathening situations like wounded, mosquito bit, snowballed, starving etc

maybe something like "toggle on autofeed" would be a good option to have in the menu n have it "on" automatically b/c noobs tend to forget to eat when learning

Eh, in a game where dudes can steal and ditch car made from the effort of like 5 people's whole lives, I think a minor yum inconvenience is something you're just gonna have to deal with xD
Likes sword based eve names. Claymore, blades, sword. Never understimate the blades!

The feeling is terrible. The intense need to stab the feeder even though they didn't know..
oh well.
I've put this up on the suggestion reddit a little ago,
experiencing accidental feeding myself as well.

Instead of another option complicating the GUI... how about force feeding just working when you are starved? If you are yum chaining you shouldn't go into starvation...

I wish I could see who is starving and who is not - I broke someone's yum chain as I thought they were afking, they were holding a baby and didn't move in a long while.

i had someone break a 16x yum chain earlier and boy i was so pissed. id spent my whole life building it, still had some food i could eat, and they broke it by shoving a berry bowl into me while talking with the baker. however... i also know that if youve got an afk girl, and you yum chain her to get more babies, then, well. you need to be able to break it if you run out of things to feed her and need to restart the cycle. and since you have no way of knowing whos starving, or when the afk girl may need more food, you sometimes have to roll with what happens.
i used to name my kids alphabetically. now i just... dont play anymore.

Wasn't there a suggestion of a starving emotion? Sounded very sensible to me.

Guys just chill, there are way more important things than "feeders". Who have all good intentions, when you get pissed and wanna stab them, youre in the wrong, people need to calm down. Finding issues in everything wont help one bit, this is negligible, accidental or on purpose, it isn't hurting anyone, and i cant believe people would stab for this? Seriously people? You need to be vigilant and have an eye out but killing for such stupid reasons is beyond me.
Just a cool dude trying to play some OHOL and have some fun!

It's a strain between how we were trying to be efficient and them accidentally breaking it; making us less efficient and more vulnerable to dying of starvation. That strain is anger and the wish to kill. But since we're mostly rational people here we don't. People are allowed to be angry at accidents, but we also realize that from their and others perspective they did not do anything wrong thus it is only a slight against us, so we have to bottle the rage and vent it somewhere, and that somewhere is here.
Depending on how old the player is when someone breaks their chain it can be detrimental to the civilization's well being, you could be the only smith/berry tender at 55 with a yum chain of 20 that allows you to smith/tend without worrying but then someone from the berry field accidentally feeds you with a berry they didn't notice they picked up, in that scenario they've crippled you to the frail state of a normal old person and you then have to retire from constant work, having to hope another smith/stalwart tender will come by.
Mostly its just a short sharp pain, watching the high numbers turn to zero.
Its kinda like the pain of being killed by a cultist and no one believing you're innocent.
