My clothing set was a straw hat, a sealskin coat, a rabbit fur loin cloth, and two rabbit fur shoes. I might have crossed over one jungle tile before getting bit (maybe not though), but I know that I was in grassland when I got bit. I had more than 6 pips, or bars if you prefer, when I got bit. When I got bit I immediately went down to six pips as before. I stood in a grassland the entire time I had the fever. By the time I could eat, I had 1 pip left!!!
Conclusion: Mosquitoes are STILL dangerous if you are wearing enough clothing.

you can survive being bit with clothes but it is a close one. If you are low you won't. Plus being in the jungle with clothes means you are already close to max heat, if more than a few seconds in you might be at max heat before being bit.

Not sure what to make of this one.
I went to check out the revised tutorial and escaped to look for others. I had the full first set of clothing, but got bit in the jungle. I ran to a few tiles of plains up against the wall and survived.
In a later life with similar cloths (I think rabbit shirt instead) i got bit in the grass, ran to berries in the swamp, got fed once, and still died.
