The marker idea is great.
We should agree on a system how to build the marker.
First we should make pictures of the city and upload them. Then we should figure out how to call the city or if it was already named. Then we should find a marker design for the city. And then we should add this marker design to a list, so we know which marker design is already taken.

Here are 2 citys + outpost of server 3. I took pictures of everything, unfortunatly alot of the pictures had a bug and the view was weird.
The pictures of city 2 are all bugged and most of the pictures of the main city.
Also I dont know how the citys are named. I build one of the citys from the ground and started two of the roads.

So someone built a bunch of oven bases in Sheeport, blocking the entrances to all rooms. The villagers apparently had to tear down the walls to get inside.
Sorry if this is off topic but I made a suggestion on Reddit about ovens and kilns. Upvote it here if you care:

I have a fix for this that will be pushed to dying.world server today to prevent oven griefing.

I can update the map with any more information you guys provide and see if we can come up with more names for these places. The town I call Snowberry had it's berries dug up for example and could probably use a new name.
Also I dont know how the citys are named. I build one of the citys from the ground and started two of the roads.
I don't recognise these towns, do you know where they are compared to the other towns on the map? Or maybe I just haven't been in that area recently.

Yeah I spent a couple of lives on damage control in Sheeport. It had a griefer oven-blocking themselves in the storeroom/bakery eating pies while a mass murderer roamed the town. I was more impressed that we managed to form a posse and tear down walls on a public server without voice chat.

For anyone who runs a private server and wishes to disable griefing with ovens/trash pits. Just add to server's "transitions" folder and delete cache file. Then restart server.

This is fabulous, but I'm a bit confused. If Sheeport is B, I think Junktown should be C?
Offline
I just spawned in Junktown (which has had alot of work done on it lately) it's definitely North/North-East of Sheeport. Check for the trash monument in my screenshot located on the north east side of town.
Town C (Woolville?) is one of the towns in your screenshots and it could use a monument. All these towns are sheep crazy, I'm thinking we have a country of sheep farmers developing

I frequently make the trip from the new cities to the old; Ovenpost, the largest, easternmost city is directly south of C, about a five minute walk. So most of the dead civs are a bit more west than what you show on the map.

I personally was thinking of Sheeport as Woolvile, but oh well, not that it really matters anyway. Sheeport makes just as much sense.
And woah! it's great to see something happening to the north. I build the road from C to A mostly by myself, until near the end. Then I helped build the road connecting fron A to B, and I was the one who then branched it off to north in between that road, all the way up to the desert. After that I stopped playing due to some dyck killing the sheep farm in sheeport.
Btw, there used to be a town to the left of Wellington. Though, it was left in ruins due to newbies eating all the carrots from the farm and dooming the townsfolk to starve to death. I wonder what happened to it. Last time I saw a road connected to that town, all the way up to Wellington.

I did too but Sheeport already stuck. And yeah, it doesn't matter as Sheeport has been "ovened" and permanently abandoned and Woolville is left to rot as it seems that Eves rather choose the northern Wellington or Junktown which continue to thrive.
Anyway, does anyone know this town? I assume it's one of the old ones because I've seen it before the big update.
I was trying for days to figure out how to reach it from the new villages.

That's Ovenpost. I built the vast majority of it myself over many lifetimes.

Ovenpost huh? That's awesome! I spent some time there recently too! It's easily the most beautiful village that I've had the pleasure to be born in! I can't wait to return!

I'm glad you like it! Last I saw though, a griefer had really taken the place apart. I hope Jason makes ovens removable soon, that's probably the only thing that can't be fixed.
I'd hope to keep the oven I accidentally made instead of a post which gave the place its name, of course.

I spent an entire lifetime looking for the road, I asked in every town but no one had ever seen it, I told everyone of the Great Yellow Road nd the settlement of Utopia at it's end, but none had heard of or seen either. I ended up well equipped after so much time passing through different biomes and accepting gifts to help in my quest, eventually I found a town were a young baker had built a great stock of pies, such to keep his civ fed for more than a generation. I told him of my quest and that I would give him my bow, my pack, my sealskin coat and my wolfskin hood, if he would but swear to me that he would find the road and follow it to Utopia, or failing that, pass on my coat, hood,p pack and bow to another adventurer who would swear the same oath.
He swore to me he would, and so I passed in peace, I truly hope my heir found Utopia, I hear it is a beautiful place...

I kind of wish more map layouts like this existed. Seeing close villages around in a server is a neat way to know your town is not the only one around.

Have you found Utopia yet? I go there regularly. Expanded the Yellow Brick Road up past Zatris and to Ovenpost, East of Zatris. If we could expand the road directly north of Ovenpost, it'd reach Woolville, connecting the old cities and the new.

Haven't had the chance to search again, my tribe is moving locations IRL the past few days, that was a brief window when I was able to play. I have a new quest though, and now I know were to go, it seems I spent last life going the wrong direction.
