If you really want to grief a town.

Find a soil pit and empty it and plant a ton of milkweed. Milkweed uses up soil. This will drive everyone crazy and kill the town.

Re: If you really want to grief a town.

If there is a pile of wood near the black smith turn it ALL into kindle. This will drive everyone nuts.

Find all of the pork and take it out of town, far far far out of town.

If you see geese in the sheep pen pick them up and let them out!

Use up all the rope you can find making buckets.

And then harvest all the milkweed when it's not flowering and make heaps of pine panels.

Re: If you really want to grief a town.

If you see a bunch of backpacks pick each one up and use it to move a soil pile... this will make them decay faster, do it to every pack you can find!

Re: If you really want to grief a town.

If you see any iron ore or ingots lying around, be sure to smelt it into steel. It stops people from making Newcomen parts and can kill even the biggest town. Nobody will EVER question you.

Re: If you really want to grief a town.

I've heard the same for baskets, both filling them with soil and stacking them makes them decay faster! that's why you usually see a stack of broken baskets!

Re: If you really want to grief a town.

Make sure to fill baskets with things, too. I think it helps the decay timer. I can only say from experience, though. Stacking baskets sounds more effective.

it also helps by hiding objects, I figured this out by accident, fill the first basket with what ever then stack baskets on top if the first basket, great way to hide knives, keys, and arrows.... for greifing at a later time, of course....

Nononono. Don't do that. They'll suspect you for hiding them and then stab you. You need to pick up any knife you see lying around, and, if you have a backpack, make sure nobody is watching, stuff it in your backpack. They might not ever /see/ it because of your hair! There, you can quickly dispatch anybody you want without having to worry about a fellow griefer accidently discovering your stash, or just running across town to get to it. If you don't have a backpack, leave it alone. Then someone else will pick it up and take it for their own, and they'll stab someone for you. Everyone will spend their curses on them, and you're free to do anything you want without going to donkey town!

I say seriously that I WILL mind that.  At the very least, branches should get used as much as possible for kindling, NOT firewood.

Re: If you really want to grief a town.

I don't know if being strict about using only branches is worth the effort unless you have like no trees for some reason and then you also have no branches. Chop down the whole swap and desert and plant a tree farm less effort imo that worrying about that optimization.

Is it worth the extra walking? I think it's much worse if the baker or smith has to stop working to get their own wood. To me that's... dysfunctional.

Edge case is the large town where griefers and people who don't know trees chopped all the wrong ones and all you have are the branches from the tree farm and precious firewood hauled in for the main hearth. But, at town that big should have horses which makes all of this a non-issue.

Dude, can you give me lessons or write a guide or something? That would make everything so much easier for me, and heaps of other people too, I'll bet!

Oh, well done. Wasting those valuable berries and carrots, cluttering up the ground with threshed wheat, and damaging shovels! I bow to the master!

You could also make a trash pit ad throw dead lambs into it! it will make sure the pen isnt cluttered with bodies!

Stop eating berries adults! go eat the pie or stew right next to you.

Hang on, I just got an idea: Move all the sheep dung from the pen to the outskirts of town, so it'll be almost IMPOSSIBLE for people to feed the sheep! Since the poop is extra hidden, nobody else can make compost, which leaves all the griefing for you! Genius!

Bonus points for making another shovel. It'll confuse them as to why there's more shovels than usual, and they'll be so busy being confused they won't notice anything you do!
