I'm having some trouble with a private server that I set-up for test builds and solo-play. I was able to get the server up and running after some trial and error. However, if I shut down the server program, the map is reset to its base state and all progress is lost. Is there a way to save the map data or do I have to keep the server up and running 24/7? I usually play for a few hours each day, then shut everything down for the night. I read somewhere that the server will save a backup once every 24 hours, but I'd rather not have to wait that long before I can safely turn it off. I tried poking around in the settings folder, but I'm not terribly tech-savvy and it is mostly indecipherable for me.

The windows based server. Setting up a linxus server is well beyond my skills.

To my knowledge the newest version should have fixed yhe saving issue. Are you launching it through the exr or batch file? Try running it through the runserver batch file as administrator and see if that fixes it for you
